This is a memorial album I made of my mom. She passed away over three years ago from a pulmonary embolism after having knee surgery…to say the least, we were not ready for her to go. I miss her everyday, and it took me over 3 years to finally do a memorial album of her life, or the way she touched my life, anyway. Journaling reads on second set of pages:Marriage was the cornerstone of your life. Though I think it was different then others, or how they viewed marriage, anyway. You never hid your emotions with dad. If you were angry, you showed it, if you were happy, you showed it, and you also let us kids see it as well. Which, to me, was a good thing. Not candy coating marriage, as many other parents have, showed me just what marriage is about. Not just the flowers, the nights out away from the kids, the cuddling, but the yelling, the money problems, etc. And working through them, in front of the kids, instead of hiding it behind closed doors. I know that it may seem weird to others, but that showed me just what to expect from marriage, the good and thebad!Journaling Reads on third set of pages:Journaling reads:What you lived for, though, when all was said and done, were your grandkids. Now, when others read this, I know they are going to think, what, not her kids??? But her kids didn’t need her as much, and when they did it was for big stuff. Life was easier for her with these two little boys. All they wanted from her was time and love, something that was readily available from her. She dropped everything for the two of them, everything, and they ate it up and gave it right back to her. The love that she shared with Alex and Brendan goes beyond the love she shared with us kids. And that, that will always be remembered by me.Journaling reads on the fourth set of pages:Journaling Reads:But what I think is the most important thing that I will always remember about my mom is to be your true self. Don’t let others intimidate you, make you feel as though you have to change and mold to their specifications. You are you, and if they don’t like it tough! Then she would go on to say how she would always love you, no matter what, and that if that’s what it came down to, that’s all that mattered. And she couldn’t have been more right. Her love was more then enough for all of us, and that, THAT will be what I will remember most. Supplies used:All pp is from the I Will Remember Line from Around the Block ~ Cardstock-Bazzill ~ Brads-Around the Block ~ Die cut letters-Quickutz ~ TFL! :)
