You didn't post this to the LO thread but I had to comment anyway - this is beautiful, Chris. Photo flower is incredible, as is the ribbon stem & overall sunny color scheme in the face of such seriousness. Couldn't zoom in to read journaling but I imagine it's heart-wrenching, moving & beautiful. Outstanding page, & as Bren said, hugs to you, your mom & the kitty. xoxo

ooh chris, i love the idea of the picture as the flower. i think it looks great :) that kitty looks like our kung-pao. i hate thinking about them growing older, but she's 11 now. :(

Growing Old

This didn't turn out exactly how I'd envisioned it, but...such is life. The journaling is a facebook note my mom wrote about this cat. He's been real sick the last 3-4 weeks, and she was debating euthanizing him.

This was for a NSBD challenge on another site to scrap a monochromatic yellow LO. I think I succeeded minus the brown letters and touches of orange.
