just a relaxing moment last fall in Myrtle Beach, SC. The title is the title of an REM song and I thought it was perfect for my boys this day.
Journaling:
What a busy day! We loaded up the car and drove 3½ hours to north Myrtle Beach. After we explored our condo, we headed out to the beach. You guys were a little afraid of the waves and ocean, but did enjoy chasing the fish in the tidal pool.
Later, while Dad and Nana went to the grocery store, I gave you baths in the big whirlpool tub. We’d bought Finding Nemo tub toys for you guys, and they were an immediate hit! After your bath, you took the toys out on the balcony with you.
You were both so relaxed, despite a long day with many new adventures. You were literally beaming as you played with your new toys, just happy hanging out, letting me take endless pictures. It was my favorite part of the whole vacation!
