Good, but it is a slippery thing! I find myself using washi tape to hold down whatever I am cutting to keep it from slipping on me. One other think that bothers me a little is the depth of the glass makes it hard to get precise cuts. The markings/grid is on the bottom of the glass so you have to look through 1/4-inch of glass to see the lines. It kind of makes it difficult to be super precise.
I bought this glass plate to replace a 12 x 12 EK Success one lost in our move. I did not expect the one from WRMK to have a paper backing. I am a messy crafter and clean my glass plate with alcohol, soap and water. I now have to change my cleaning technique to not get the back wet. My opinion may be off since I haven't yet given this one a thorough use...or cleaning. Right out of box, I prefer one without paper.
I am new to the polymer clay craft and I tried three different working surfaces before discovering this mat. It’s perfect! The rulers are very handy, it has little feet that keep the mat from shifting and the surface is large enough to work clay on as well as leaving enough room for tools and clay. I highly recommend this mat to all polymer clay artists. You’ll love it, too.
Great all around mat. Love that is made of glass, easy to clean if you are a messy crafter. It doesn't slip or move around. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a good sturdy mat to work on.
So glad I got this. My cuts are smooth when using a blade, I no longer get caught in a rough part of a self healing mat causing me to mess up the cut I am trying to make.
Doesn't move around when using,cleans up easily, smooth surface.
. Wish it was a little bigger.

Is it safe to use with the Fuse Heat Tool?

I have not used mine with any heat tool, but if you are using it as a base for working with your fuse tool it should be fine as it is a heavy thick glass surface. great for cutting photos and all kinds of paper products and materials. I use it for my base when I use my hot glue gun and set it on the surface, even if glue drips on it it comes right up after it cools..so my guess is yes it should be fine. You can try contact Memory keepers as well and ask them if you need to be absolutely sure :) hope this helps

I would assume so since the surface is glass. I have a teflon sheet that I put down anytime a project could be messy. Embossing powder included. I have to add that this glass mat is really quite wonderful. (Love the color too!) Hope this helps.

I don't understand - how do you not scratch the glass if you are cutting on it?

Tempered glass can help prevent this but you still may get scratches since it is still glass. We haven't heard of this happening but it's possible. Hope this helps!

We haven't heard of any issues with this but as with any glass mat, your tools may dull quicker than when using a self-healing type of mat. Hope this helps!
