If you have piles of school projects and artwork from your past as well as the present with your children, seriously consider this tip.

I recently took photographs of my husbands campaign posters from a junior high school election. The posters were sentimental to him because the artist had gone on to do art as a career. The posters, however, were showing their age and deteriorating. I persuaded my husband to take photos of the posters and I promised to do a layout capturing his feelings and his prized possessions. The posters were thrown away only when the film was developed and we were sure the photos would be a tribute and were acceptable.

There is freedom in de-junking and the camera is a wonderful tool to help us.
