INK - Pigment vs. Chalk?

Well I am new to stamping and see that many inkpads by inkadinkado are "chalk" or "pigment"

Whats the differance?

Thanks SO much! I am learning to emboss and I only have silver and white, so I am looking to get a primary set. I think I will be going with the inkadinkado pigment primary.
