Baker's Twine

Aug '14 Idlewoman

I bought it and I have seen it used to outline shapes and things on pages but have NO idea how to attach it to my page like that. What do you use?

I am not sure how to adhere twine but I saw a really cool way to use it- you wind it around itself in the shape of a circle and glue it down - makes a cute little homemade embellishment!

You can use Tombow Mono Multi Glue, Glossy Accents, or Ranger Matte Medium. I've had success using all those products with it.

Yes, liquid glue. Pencil your design in, then draw the glue on sparingly in small sections so that it doesn't dry too quickly, and press the twine into place. You don't want too much glue otherwise the card-stock warps.

Yes, very good advice. I've had luck with all of those glues also. The trick is not to use too much.

I use Scotch quick dry Adhesive for all my embellishments, including twine.
It is sold in the scrapbook dept in the box stores.
And you can use a coupon! I don't see it here in the store.

So funny you should ask this because I was just wondering the same thing! I have some itty bitty wire ribbon I really wanted to use on a layout. After reading this post I tryed the Scotch Quick-dry adhesive and it worked amazingly. Took a little while since I only did a little at a time but this morning it looks great and is still sticking strong!
