Reccomendations on Paper Cutters

Hey There! Does anyone have suggestions on a good paper cutter? I'm looking for a 12x12 that is relatively inexpensive. i heard the friskars one is good...any other recommendations? I really want to get my money's worth!

I have the Provo Craft Zision one and I really like it and it is a little cheaper than the Fiskars.....and it is really cute....lime green...and the blade handle is shaped like a flower....aaaaaaaahhhhhhh

I love my Fiskars. I also have a Cutterpede and HATE it. It is very awkward to me. (why does the word awkward look awkward to me? LOL)

I love my fiskers. One really nice thing about it is that you can find replacement clades almost anywhere.

I just bought the Provo Craft Zision and I LOVE it! (And it's only about $12) I'm done with the Fiskars that I had for years, it just doesn't cut straight.

I have the Zision by Provocraft - I got it for $5.88 at the craft store on sale one day! I like it, however the blades do wear down...but do not fear you can buy replacements online - the store didn't have any where I bought the cutter, and I was really in a pinch for replacement blades and the fiskars ones worked fine!

Now if I was to make a really good recommendation? I'd hollar at a Creative Memories consultant and buy their cutter - it is MOST EXCELLENT, cuts straight, sturdy and you can buy replacement blades for it too! I think they are $19.98 or something like that! I never bought one because I wasn't in the market for one when I went to a party. BUT, when my el cheapo kicks the bucket, I'll be calling my consultant up for one of theirs!

I highly recommend the 12x12 Creative Memories paper cutter. It even has lines so you cut diagonally. I absolutely love mine!

I am in love with my Cutterpede. I have a scoring blade, and other interesting blades that I purchased for it. I think the Cutterpede was under $12.

Heidimansi said that she hated her cutterpede. I actually hated the fiskars. What I've noticed at the crops and classes that I've attended is that if a person likes the Cuterpede, then they hate the fiskars, and visa versa. I'm dyslexic when it comes to spatial planning, and the Cutterpede just makes more sense to me.

I always suggest taking a cutter for a "test drive" at a lss. That's what I did before buying my cutterpede.

I agree with Jennifer - I think my Cutterpede is FANTASTIC!

I also have the Provo Zision and like it a lot. I first bought the $19.95 Fiskars w/40% off and like many others have said, I couldn't get it to cut straight. It kept curving up on each end of 12" paper.

I took it back and Hobby Lobby had the Zision for $6.99, w/40% off, so it was about $5 bucks and works so much better than the more expensive Fiskars IMO.

Also, it is awfully cute and colorful too

I have the newer triple balde 12" and love it. I find it cuts striaghter than the original fiskars and doesn't lose the straightness as you use it like the old one. And you can get the scoring blade and replacement blades for it too, and like someone else said they are easy to get ahold of.

TONIC, TONIC, TONIC!!!! I still use my big fiskars but absolutely LOVE the tonic, dont know which one i got, i bought it from someone on here but it has a big old guillotine blade and cuts perfectly every time. I paid thirty bucks but i am sure i will have this forever. jmo susan a

I live across the street from my LSS and decided to go with the Provo Zision one. It ended up costing me $14.99 and I can't wait to start using it!

I have a carl and a friskars but wasn't really happy with either of them. I finally broke down and bought a tonic guillotine and wish I had bought it a long time ago. It's the best!!!

Cutterpede Cutterpede Cutterpede. I LOVE mine and wouldn't ever buy anything else. I have had like 3 different Fiskars and could never get a straight line on it. I have never had a problem since I got the Cutterpede. It's not expensive and the replacement bars are cheap. The blands aren't priced high either. They even have out the new decorative blades for them.

I loved my Carl until I dropped it. To save money I replaced it with a Cutterpede (bought with a coupon). I know a lot of people like them but it's not one of my favorites. It never cuts straight (and it's not operator error because I'm careful about lining everything up!). I use it because I have it. If/when it breaks or I get totally sick of it, I'll get another Carl. I like them so much I bought a Carl personal trimmer for my 7 year old DD for her b-day one year (she can't cut her fingers because of the way the blade is set up).

I'm with Susan A. TONIC all the way. I love mine. It really does cut straight every time.

I have the Fiskars 12" Euro Personal Paper Trimmer and I LOVE it! I like the swing out ruler (which I also use as an edge to hold my paper straight) and I like the blade running in a track so the paper doesn't slide when cutting. I've found the replacement blades (it came with 1) at M's.

I have the Provo Craft Zision too and I love it! I have the Fiskars (the black one) too and I don't hardly use it. I really love the Provo Craft one and it's pretty cheap they sell it around here for $11.99. THat would be the one I would tell you to go with.

I just bought a Cutterpede. My Fiskars didn't cut straight and I couldn't handle that anymore. So far I like the Cutterpede.

Hi, Scrapbook Queen. This is my 1st time with a post so I hope I am doing this right...
My question, can you be more specific what Fiskars 12" triple blade cutter you have? I too am in 'need' of a 12" paper trimmer and am a huge fiskars fan. The one you have with optional blades sounds perfect for me, but I can not find it. Any additional info would be Great.

I use the Fiskars and am really happy with it!! The only problem i have it storing it.

I gotta go with Creative Memories. I had a fiskars before. The blade on the CM 12" straight cutter is awesome. Also, check out Creative Memories 12" Decorative trimmer. It's awesome too!

I have had The fiskers rotary blade. The 8" Fiskers trimmer, a 12" fiskers. and a cutterpede. I liked the fiskers rotary but the paper slipped and it was too big for my work space.

The 8 and 12 trimmers were good but I got wiggle in the blade that I didn't like.

The cutterpede came out the month after I got the 12" fiskers. I bought it because it had the fold out bar and cut 2" and 6" strips with minamal lining up. I like it the best. BUT

None of them are paticularly accurate. They all take practice to use. Go to your lss and try the one you think you want.

I use the Cutter Bee Cutterpede it is green. I love it easy to use blades last long time and It has piece that comes out to messure and hold your longer paper.It also has a magnet to hold the cutting strip down so paper does not shift. It is sold at Micheals My local Scrap store and Walmart

I have the Cutterpede, the
Fiskers, have had the magnetic Ek Success (they no longer make or support it) I just about cried when I broke itand at least two others. I now use a Carl that I got from Sam's. I have a Genesis on order, but it takes about a year to get it. I cannot stand a trimmer which does't trim strtaight.

I have the fiskars and cutterpede both. I use the cutterpede mostley but niether will cut a perfectly straight line everytime.

I have and own the Dahle. Straight cuts EVERY time, I highly recommend this product.
