Just saw Shrek!

HAHhahaha Okay. This was a funny movie.

My bf wanted to see if my 2yo son would sit though a movie (I had my doubts) and wanted to see Shrek. Well first, my boy was GREAT! Sat through it without so much as a peep. And the movie was great! I heard there was some cussing in it, so I was nervous. I know how graphic Eddie Murphy (he plays the donkey) can be, but I only heard 2. BF heard 3. I don't think damn counts, and that's the one I missed (LOL maybe I'm a bad parent)

Well I would recomment this movie. It's FUNNY and has a good story. Even kinda an underlying moral tone to it.

I loved that movie! I laughed nonstop and it even had some sentimental moments to it. If you want to see another great movie-----watch Pearl Harbor

My dh and I saw Shrek the day it opened and we both loved it. Definitely one to buy on DVD when it comes out.

HAHA Nope, I didn't bring my camera. That's where my bf draws the line. I got away with it at the Veggietale premier we went to on my son's birthday, but that was only at the end and I was pushing it then even. So no pics of him sitting there all cute but maybe I'll find a way to scrap it anyway!

My DH and I LOVED it! I definitely think it's more for adults or older kids, and shouldn't have been marketed to a younger audience. But I loved the humor and references to other movies. SPOLIER: Don't read if you still want to see it!

I didn't care for the movie--sorry to dissappoint ya'll--to many underlying thoughts for kids. Not one for children--if it had been in TV, we'd probably turn if off. My daughter looked at me a few times in question as to if we were staying--I'm pleased that she knew that talking smart, and using bad language isn't correct. I did like the overall idea of the movie--no matter what you are, or where you are for that matter--you need to be proud of who you are.

We just saw it at the drive in this weekend! It was a great movie, but wasted on everyone else we went with. They showed it as the second movie (STUPID idea, if you ask me!) and I was the only one that managed to stay awake to see the whole thing. Very cute, and when it comes out on video, I'm sure my kids will get another chance to watch it.

I don't think it was a kids' movie. The topics and humor were meant for adults. Even so they marketed it like a kids movie.

I still thought that it was hilarious!

I really thought the movie did a great job of showing that you can, and should, love yourself. It also did a great job of showing HOW to do that when you get confused about who you are, and what you think you should be. The influences around us can be very powerful and even more confusing. I liked the way the movie conquered that confusing part of life.

I know it was a cartoon, but I was impressed with it's moral content. Even though some of the comments were more aimed towards adults. Let's face it, we have to watch this stuff with our kids, we should at least be mildly entertained.
