Storing Sm Paper & Scraps

I have papers that are smaller than 8 1/2x 11" (some are 8x8, 6x6, and smaller) and I was wondering how some of you store your paper. I would even like to store scrap pieces that are left over from larger papers that I hope to use again. I purchased a couple of those boxes where you can hold photos or videos but I just can't settle on a way to store my paper in there. Any help would be greatly appreciated

I color theme all my papers in a 2.5 gallon zip lock bag with a stiff cardboard sheet in there to support the bag. I can see the colors without opening the bag and get what I need right away! Not fancy, but it works great!

I have one of those divided file folders and organize my scraps according to color. This works great for me as with my Cricut I can just look in the right color and pull out the shade I need. Since doing this I've found I use my scraps a lot more as well! And when I go to crops I just take it with me!

I have a rolling cart for my whole 8.5x11 papers. A shelf with organizers for my 8x8 whole papers. A drawer for my 4.5x6.5 mat papers. And this for my scraps:

Oh I should mention my file folder is actually one for scrappin, it is 12x12, so even if I have a big chunk of paper left over it still fits!

golly, you gals are certainly organized in the scrap area.. I toss mine into a large hatbox.. all of them! no color separation at all (well the smaller ones)! guess you all might flip out at my scrap oganazation.. but hey... it works for me! :O)

I have 2 files, one for solids and one for patterns.

I've been wondering the same thing and I just happen to have a plastic file folder like Bling Fairy Vivian's in storage with no purpose! Thanks so much for the great idea. I will do this!

mine is pretty much like this, except I have 2 colors per bag. Works great!

I do this too but my ziplock bags are the gallon size. I stand these up in a shoe box that boots came in. Everything is hidden in an armoir so I didn't have to decorate the boot box. Easy access and cheap.

I don't have a lot of money so what I decided to do was use one of those accordian file holders and label each slot for each color, then a slot for patterned paper and one for themed paper. I am going to get another one (they are only $3) that way it will be able to hold ALL of my paper. Haven't decided yet but I may do this with my 8 1/2 x 11" paper too. I don't have money to spend on any fancy holders so this will have to do for now. THank you all for your tips and advice...my gratitude is endless

i have been thinking about this as well, right now all my scraps (anything smaller than 12x12 full sheet) go directly into a wall drawer right next to my desk chair so far it hasn't filled up but i need to figure out a way to make it more accessable to find colors!

I don't quite have that much yet LOL so for me the accordian file folder is perfect it has enough space. Should my collection reach that much at some point I like that idea and will probably do the same.

Anyone who doesn't have enough to fill an entire drawer should try the accordian file because it's compact and doesn't take up much space - also it's cheap to buy and you can have more than one until your pile reaches multi-drawer status
