Scrapbook for a Guy

Topic Closed

I am making a scrapbook for my boyfriend before he leaves for college in May. I'm trying to keep the color scheme basic (black, gray and white).

I have my own scrapbook and of course, its "girly." Does anyone have any creative ideas that I could do for a guy scrapbook?

    Thanks!

I am doing one for my dd Pop Pop. I just started it and you can see my gallery if you like. Here are some of the papers and stuff I picked. Pop Pop loves Grey, Blue, Maroon, Muted colors like Green, etc.

With those neutral colors, a rich brown would look good; also a silver, and perhaps some of his new school colors. And of course, you'll need an accent color especially for the photos of you! Someone on here a long time ago used the same color in some way with each of her photos in an album like this.

I like Okiegrandma's suggestion about his college colors. You can also use the high school colors.

I swear by plaids...reminds me of a man's flannel shirt...they also give a pop to an lo especially if you want to keep the main focus b/w!! Nothing wrong with giving a LO that warm cozy feeling too which the plaid will do!

I think the Tim Holtz metal embellishments have a definite masculine quality.

Thanks everyone for the advice. I now have some new ideas in store for my next pages I'm working on.

    Thanks so much again!!!

I love blues, browns, and grays - and definitely hardware. I'm making a 6x6 every year for my husband for an anniversary. It doubles as a card and a page for a scrapbook!!

    Hey!
    What a great idea!

I made a scrapbook for my husband and I focused the scrapbook on his band days (he was a drummer in a band for a number of years when we first met). I added in some pictures of parties we went too, and photos of us, but most of the photos centered around his shows.

I kept the colours quite "boyish". I did use some grunge techniques. Used some distress inks.

I also LOVE the rock star pages and embellishments, they went with the theme AND are pretty grunge & guy looking.

    Have fun creating the scrapbook.
