Thanks, Vickie. When I went to the USPS site, those boxes were not on the list of flat rate ones they showed. I put in the item number you gave me and they popped right up! Thanks!
I use Priority Mail Box 0-1092, you can just put that number in the USPS search on their site and it will pop up. And as mentioned previously, you can order as few as 10 and they are delivered to your door (as long as you have home mail delivery). I have used this size box for years and never had a problem, the 12x12 layouts fit perfectly in there.
My USPS office here no longer has the boxes that fit 12x12 paper. Like Tina, I use the clear envies that you can get on sale at M's or ACM. When they put them on sale for $1 each, I buy a few. Then I put a piece of cardboard or chipboard in with the paper so they're not as flexible, tape the heck out of it, and send it on its way. If I order paper online, I always save the boxes it comes in for future use. I have also heard that you can use pizza boxes, but I always forget about that and have never tried it.
You can order priority mail boxes online for free at usps.com. Just go to "buy stamps and shop" tab, then "for mailing and shipping" tab, then priority mail. They will send you a bundle of 10 or 25, delivered by the mailperson, right to your door.
someone once shipped me 12x12 paper in one of those 9.99 flat rate boxes,,,,,she flattened it on a diagonal, if that makes ANY sense,,,,,and taped the heck out of the edges,,,,,
it was ingenious. But then again,,,,Manda is ingenious.
You can roll the paper into a tube (USPS sells those too). Tubing can be a cheaper option, depending on weight, than the flat rate boxes sometimes.
ALSO - Close to my Heart consultants receive their shipments in PERFECT boxes! If you have a friend who is one, call and ask for an extra!

they fit in the flat rate boxes.... depends on the weight of the paper your shipping. there are some big envelopes that work too 13x 18 something like that, just through a few pieces of left over chipboard in them to make them stirdy and tap the begeses out of them ... they ship fine with no complants from the recipient
The post office used to have the perfect size box for flat rate shipping. They have changed their sizes recently, but you might still find the old size. I think the outside dimension was listed as 12 1/2 x 12 1/2 x 5. I shipped the DCWV cardstock stacks in them and they fit perfectly!
I don't know how much paper you are sending her, but I've used one of those clear plastic envelopes that are usually $1 or $2, then Taped it close (not relied on the the string closure). it works if you do'nt have a *huge* stack of paper.
