I still don't understand it 100%. I see that it is like cutting out simple shapes from patters to make an embellishment. I am still unclear on how to get them so detailed? I assume that the crafter must have to draw the face details in for the faces? So, while i...
I think paper piecing and layering is one in the same, thats how I understand it anyway! I think there is just different terminology.
I think it is what Cricut is doing with all the different layers to a cut, so you can cut each piece/layer in a different color, to make the shirt, pants, hair, etc.
The same goes for a SVG (or whichever)file that has all the different "parts" in a file.
Peachy Keen stamps have great faces for people and animals.
And as mentioned before, pop dots/foam work great to add demension to your piece.
I have only done a few things, to me, they are time consuming but worth the extra effort!
