tired of alphabet stickers

I love alpha stickers. It does take some time to learn how to apply

I have many sticker alphas that were purchased before I got my cricut. They are in a notebook, which makes it easy to transport to crops. I always use tweezers and usually the titletopia. I also use a scraper, something like you would use on a grill. I found these at a hardware store (they are flat plastic about 2" square). The scrapers makes it easier to "get under, pick up " and move letters around.

Oh I have piles of letters too, both stickers and paper. I bought my cricut becaused I hated stickers too but now I don't use my cricut very much but I do however LOVE the tiny letters. I mainly do cards right now but starting to switch back to LO's.

I used to be a CMC and have the titopia and multipurpose tool. Get the multipupose tool. I had so many people use mine then buy one. Before I got one I didn't see the use but I use mine all the time even now. It's great with letter stickers or anything that is sticky for that matter. Even my 4 yr old uses it.

Have u tried using tweezers to peel off your stickers and use it to place them on your page.

I am another cricut user here! And the Xryon works wonders with those alphas!!!! I use stickers sometimes for crops but I have quit buying alpha stickers and mainly using up what I have already. If you run out of a letter you can take the negative of the letter and put that on your LO and color in a letter too...I have done that before. Then I just peel off the negative to leave the colored part on my LO.

I love sticker alpas...of course some are way better than others. I use my cricut to cut alot of letters...however it is just quicker to pull out the stickers. I have never had the problem of bubbles either. I also use a ruler to stick part of them on the ruler then figure out where i want it and then stick from top to bottom. That seems to work for me. Good luck either way...

I tend to just use my cricut for all my lettering needs. That way I always have exactly what i need and there is no waste.

The Basic Grey letter stickers are great, the ones made to coordinate with each line...easy to place and they come in lots of colors..two colors to a sheet. I love most Thickers but some of them won't even stay stuck to the packaging...some Prima letters do the same thing...they get loose inside the package and end up sticking to each other. And then yes there is the problem with running out of vowels...I think they do that so you will buy another package.
The best solutions I see is a cricut, which I have but seldom use due to space constraints and a xyron (adds adhesive) which I don't have. My sister has both and uses them all the time and makes great custom letter stickers...little bitty ones too.

I have really been gravitating towards mini stickers lately. The ones I am linking to below are easy to line up with a ruler!

Alphaabet stickers got real old fast with me years ago, because they didn't have enough vowels on a sheet. That is when I bought my first Sizzix machine (original big red), moved on to the Sidekick and now the Cricut. So I cut only the letters I need without having all those partially used sheets of letters.

for all the q's and z's they give you in these sets they could give you vowels instead.

I have some sets that i want to keep becuause they look so good and who knows i may use them but i threw out a set the other day just because all the a's and i's were gone. plus they were hard to get off the sheet.

i have some alphas that came with a stack and they will eventually go to my chruch's kids program.

I cut my letters from my Cricut

I hated leftover stickers, too--especially when I had to buy more stickers to get enough vowels! The people who make those stickers for crafters obviously don't write anything, because they would give more vowels!

I don't like mine for a different reason. I hate leftover letters. My sticker letter collection is way bigger than I want because I bought so many when I started scrapping. I have a cricut now and I prefer to cut out only what I need. I like using my chipboard letters for the dimension but outside of those, I quit buying letter stickers a long time ago.

you can use a clear quilting ruler and do the same thing. I have one that's got a 0 in the center and is marked in 1/8" increments forming a grid. It's 2" wide 18" long so perfect for centering on 12x12 papers. I got it in the quilting section @ J's. Cheap too if you use a coupon! LOVE that ruler!

Creative Memories used to make a tool called titletopia (I believe thats what it was called.) They still might make this... it is a template that you layout your letter stickers on, the bottom half goes on the template and then you stick the top half onto the layout. hen you slide out the template and press down the bottom half. I am sure a CM consultant could explain it better. This is a great tool and has helped me with those pesky alpha stickers. Oh, and the CM Multi purpose tool is a great tool to get the stickers off of the sheet!

I have tried many different brands and types, most recently Oriental Trading Company's sticker portfolio. The "bubbles" I talk about are mainly from big alpha stickers, but they also happen with other stickers--if I am not holding a letter correctly and try to lay the sticker down I get air bubbles in the letter. If I try to straighten the sticker before I lay it down, I get wrinkles and folds in the letter.

I am a letter sticker hoarder! lol I have TONS and I use them ALOT! Maybe it's the brand/type of sticker you are using? Maybe that's what giving you problems peeling them off? I love American Crafts Remarks alpha stickers. I don't understand what you mean when you say you create bubbles in the letters when you try putting them on a page.

I just gave all of my alphabet stickers to my boyfriend's 13 year old neice, who scrapbooks. I am so clumsy with them: I can never get them off the sheet without folding and wrinkling them. Also, I can't get them on the page without creating bubbles in the letters. And I never have enough letters to spell out what I want.

I have about 10 various sized chipboard fonts, which I trace. That and doing my own lettering will have to work for me. I give up on stickers!
