Creative ways to print pictures

I use Picasa to edit & print to a specific size (3x4,5cmx8cm, 2x2, 2x3 are the sizes I print most) and then print using the Epson PictureMate "Charm". Its worth its weight in gold.

The junk threads take up space on the 1st page of the forum. In order to moved up the real thread which have sometimes become buried on the 2nd or 3rd page (due to all of the spam posts) someone may enter a simple "bump" response which bumps the post back up to the top of the list. "Bumping" is adding a simple reply just to move a thread up to the top of the list.

I don't understand the comments about spamming and bumping. Could someone explain, if they have a moment. Many thanks

If you *have* to upload them, then I understand not wanting to bother...what a pain!....
If you can go into the store, though, why don't you just put them on CD or flashdrive and take them in.....
Also, when I'm sending photos away, I put the ones I want to print in a temporary folder....that way, I know which ones I've done and haven't done yet. Also, if anything goes wrong, I can easily access them....

kiyawinn--I didn't notice that there weren't all glossy until I got home. I called them and they said I'd have to resend in all my photos (which there were over 100) and they'd reprint and when I picked them up there would be no cost. But it seriously took me almost an hour to get all those photos loaded to print. I'm not *that* dissatisfied.

I have heard of Picasa. I just need to download it on my husband's new computer! (Mine is dead...ugh.)

Not sure where you got your order printed but the last time I got some printed and wasn't happy, I complained and they re-did them.
I have an HP printer as well. I would try printing one or two and see what you get....
Two tips....print from an editing software, like Photoshop or Picasa
and try setting your printer and camera to "adobe SGB" colour setting for printing at home...makes a big difference in the quality of pics (not a good setting if you are sending away for photos, though).....

I've never had good luck printing my own photos. Do you all use a certain printer? I have an HP All in One, but because of my bad experience in the past I haven't tried printing pictures on this printer.

I'm not happy with my latest photo order. They were supposed to all be glossy and about 10 are glossy, 125 are matte. WTH.

The easiest way I've found is to edit photos first (I use Picasa, it's free) then you can print at home or put on a flash drive/upload and print in store.
I've done the photo strip look by using "Pocketbooth".....it's an iPhone app

I print my smaller sizes on a Kodak machine at the store. The different options are under Collage.

I print all my photos at home using photoshop, or picasa for collages. And I only print when I'm planning a lo. That way I can print whatever size is going to work for my lo and with whatever effects I want to use - b&w, sepia, or other photoshop effects. I don't think I'd do well printing everything off in 4x6.

I use the free photo editing program from Google called Picasa. It has a few cool options in the collage category. You can print photos to look like a bunch of Polaroids tossed around.

I usually just print my pictures 4X6 from wherever is on sale. I like the photo strip look some people are doing and bigger sized photos. Where can I print more creative photos? I prefer to upload on-line and order, but I'm willing to print from home or bring my SD card to a photo place if that's how I need to do it.
