Yes I iron giftwrap and brown paper to reuse it. I use the iron on medium to high, but I touch the iron to the paper only very briefly, kind of wipe it over and lift. Repeat if necessary.

Some transfers I have used need steam to fix them. I don't know how they would work on paper because it might warp the paper. Try it and let us know how you get on?

I've ironed paper. On my first lo I was working with distress inks. I was happy with how it worked.

Oh, yah, you sure can iron paper. I used to iron my paper dolls' clothing when I was a kid because my 2 pesky little sisters frequently got into my stuff before I got home from school. (I was sorely tempted to crinkle them as badly as they crinkled my paper dolls and their clothes!) You can use a fairly hot iron if necessary as long as you don't let it sit on the paper long enough to scorch it. As mentioned above though, do NOT use steam.
