After reading this post I tryed the Scotch Quick-dry adhesive and it worked amazingly. Took a little while since I only did a little at a time but this morning it looks great and is still sticking strong!

Yes, very good advice. I've had luck with all of those glues also. The trick is not to use too much.

I am not sure how to adhere twine but I saw a really cool way to use it- you wind it around itself in the shape of a circle and glue it down - makes a cute little homemade embellishment!
