What scrap supplies to haul at Dollar Tree?

When I went about 2 weeks ago I spent $30 in there. There was tons of stuff. Lots of good stickers, gems, sequins, containers, tags. I had a blast but I have been b4 and found little to nothing too. It just depends! Have fun! If you have never been in a Tuesday Morning Store, they have some great stuff too!

Right now you're going to find a lot of holiday stickers, etc. at a really good price. And storage items are great there.

I honestly agree with Donna...I'm afraid of the lack of quality in some of the products sold there, as well as it not being acid free. But that's just me

The two I go to carry nice stuff, but in all honesty the supplies I get there usually get used on "junk journal" pages or for art journaling, or just decorating journals. If I do use stickers from there on an actual lo with a photo, I keep them away from the photo.

I think it depends on the store location and the management. I have walked into some stores and had to leave it was so filthy with just junk. Then there are others that are well maintained and have some good finds.

You probably think I am a horrible snob, but I would never buy scrap supplies at the dollar tree. I would not know if they were safe or acid/lignin free.

I have found: scrapbooking stickers, stamps, water colors, composition books for making journals with for Christmas presents, beads, mod podge, silk flowers, ribbon, and holiday themed garlands.

Some of my favorite things I've bought at the dollar stores are glass storage jars with lids. I have a scrapbooking room and I have TONS of jars in all shapes and sizes to hold buttons, charms, brads, and other embellishments.

Right now my local Dollar Tree has LOTS of 3D stickers that cover various themes. I've bought hundreds of flowers and then take them apart to use on my pages. Their holiday displays are full of fun things that can be used on our scrapbook pages. For baby pages, I use lots of their décor items for titles, embellishments, etc. I peruse every department of the store for ideas.

I've been scrapping so many years, I look for things everywhere I go! I also take tags off of things like dog toys because they make darling embellishments for pet pages. The possibilities are endless! It's part of the fun of scrapbooking. You don't have to spend a fortune to make fun additions to your pages.

As a side note, I've noticed that a lot of the dollar-type stores here in N. Calif. are converting to something called Dollar General stores. From what I'm gathering, some things are still $1.00, but they also sell name-brand items at discounted prices. I'm afraid we're going to lose the "random" nature of the Dollar Tree stores, but time will tell!

My last visit I found a lot of great 3D stuff but other times absolutely nothing- it really is hit and miss.

The items vary from day to day and from store to store. You never know what you will find.

I look for hair decorations and clip off the hardware. They make great embellishments.

Sometimes you will find some really nice 3D stickers and ribbon. I also purchase items for storage (like baskets or trays). Also, if you are into the planner craze, you can find post-its, pens, markers, etc.
