Non-smearing pen for the back of photos?

RE: Melilou: I noticed that Wallgreens has the same "spill proof" feature that Walmart has. This is the reason I don't get photos from either. Red eye and pet eye pens don't work on them, they just wipe off. I've even tried a permenant sharpie with the same result.

I use an extra fine point Sharpie on the back of my photos and have not had a problem.

Slick writers won't smear. They're great - use them on vellum, transparencies, glossy photo fronts even. I love these pens!
