Ink pad not drying???

Pigment ink always takes longer to dry - I also recommend heat setting with a heat emboss gun.

If you have a Perfect Printing Pouch, try that. It dries inkjet ink on vellum in about 15 seconds. It speeds drying when stamping too, but I don't know how long it would be with that ink.

If its a metallic pigment, it will need to be heat set. I found that I can let some pigment inks dry on their own and takes forever, but pigment metallics do not dry on their own -- at all not whatsoever. Could also have to do with your environment. If you are in the south where it is warm and humid, its gonna take longer to dry. Living up north its very cold in Michigan where my friend lives which could also have the same effect (believe it or not).

Also, if your 'normal' cardstock as you stated is DCWV, then it has a slight coating on it that makes pigment dry even slower on it's own.

Pigment ink is not to be written off but it is a fussy ink. It is greata for embossing or for ink effects but it is always best heat set. And heat setting doesn't mean blow dryer (and NOT the hubby's heat stripper from teh garage either!!). If you don't have a heat setter, you're going to have to wait it out. You might be able to set it in the oven on 250 but i've never tried that before. I do polymer clay and have done it with paper in there and it doesn't burn the paper. But, if you've got other items on the project already, they could melt/catch fire.

sorry can't help you on your Q but all the pigment inks that i have bought dry after a few min. but i have not bought this brand maybe it's the ink maybe a bad badge

I would think so. It doesn't get as hot as an embossing gun, so I think it would just take longer. Be careful using heat too long on paper though...paper will curl.

Pigment ink takes forever to dry. It does surprise me that DAYS later it's not drying. Dye ink will dry fast. I use pigment ink for embossing, or I set it with my heat gun.

I recently purchased a Color Box Pigment Stamp Pad from Michaels. I used my letter stamps and stamped on normal cardstock paper (also purchased from Michaels) and it won't dry. Even DAYS after i've stamped something it won't dry; I tried using a blow dryer but it hasn't helped either. Did I buy a wrong stamp pad? What am I doing wrong? Any advise would be greatly appreciated.
