small pictures???

I haven't actually used it so can't recommend it but a friend told me about it.

I also have them print the index page, I use some of those tiny pics with those bubble things over them, works great. Lets me make embellishments that match and lets me show off more pics, even if they are small. They can really add to a page.

I have a Canon photo printer that has options for smaller photos but I have also heard of putting 1 on a single canvas in photoshop but you'd have to get the measurements right or you might end up with blurry images.

There is also a program that you can dowload that allows you to make the multi-photo canvases easily. I will try to find it for you.

I never thought of using the collage option at Walgreens! Everytime I log onto this site I learn something new or get a few brilliant ideas!

I am in the middle of scrapping a trip to Ireland and have a lot of pictures. Ritzpix.com (ritz camera) prints 3.5x5 pictures on Tuesdays and Wednesdays each week. If I have a lot of pictures I upload to them and either pick them up or have them mailed to me.

You can go to Walmart and print out 4 different photos on a 4x6 size Its the same charge as a regular 4x6. This size is perfect for scrapbpooking multiple pictures on one page.

i used to get mine printed at walmart. then, like you, i wanted more pics at different sizes.

so i bought a HP printer. i use HP supplies. the cost of printing my own pics is with pennies of having a company do it.

now i can print them whenever i want, whatever size i want and in whatever quantity i want. unless i run out of ink printing my own pics comes in handy when i need to make wallets of my kids for their grandparents. i print off a few before the holidays when i know i will see them. it became a lot easier for me.

and, when i have a lot of pics on one subject that i want to use but not have as the main focus, print out a lot of wallet sizes. then i do 1 or 2 "good ones" large. that saves a lot of ink, paper and space on LOs.

Walgreens has several kinds of borders that will create a smaller print.

I often use the collage print at Walgreens. I think they are $.29 each. Cheaper than 4 wallets of the same photo!

I also use Picasa to create a collage and have it printed. This is even cheaper, because you're only charged the regular print price (lower than the collage prints).

You don't have to do any special editing of your pictures before hand either. Works great!

The collage option works at Snapfish too. Use the 4x6 size & you get 2 pics for the price of one 4x6.

Thanks so much for the ideas! I actually printed "wallets" at Walgreens last time - I think they were $1 but i ended up with 4 of the same picture - came out good though. I am going to try to play around with photoshop also and the collage tip was great! Thanks everyone!

You can get wallets at Walgreens -- it's more expensive but I do it all the time (I am a multi-pic scrapper too!)

when I want smaller than 4x6 pics, I use the "collage" option at Walgreens and CVS. Walgreens will run a special on collages at times. Sometimes I then cut the pics to use individually or use them as is in the collage.

I print only the pictures I know I am going to use. And I use HP Photo printers with HP supplies.

Printing them yourself can be a good option and lots of people do it, but depending on your printer it can also be pretty expensive. Another option is software - I use Photoshop, but there are several out there, if you do a little search on the boards I'm sure you'll find them. I use a 4x6 'canvas' and put 2, 3, or 4 pics on this canvas, size each pic as desired, save as a jpg and upload to CostCo, which is where I print most of my pics. Another option, if it's possible, is to just crop your photos down to the essential part of the pic.

Don't want to sound like a dummy.... BUT.... i print all of my pictures at Walgreens, CVS, or through Snapfish/Shutterfly, etc. I'm given the option of 4x6, 5x7, 8x10, etc. but I've noticed a lot of people have smaller pictures and since I tend to use a lot of pics in my layouts, I wanted to find out if you print the pictures yourself or if you order them smaller.... I know they can't be cut perfectly like that and I always feel like when I crop pictures they just don't look "right" to me. Also, do you print the photos with the little white or black trim around them? I've done that a few times through walgreens, but it always comes out so thick. I hope this question makes sense - just trying to figure out how everyone seems to get smaller sized pics on their layouts!! Thanks!!!
