Klic-n-Kut vs. Wishblade

if you check out scrapbookdiecutter.com they sell both the robo and KNK. The KNK comes in different sizes. I had a WB and gave it away after I got my KNK. The KNK is an awesome cutting machine. They have different blades for cutting an assortment of materials including chipboard. BTW the Element fits a 12x12 sheet of paper...but it will only cut 8.5-9" wide; so for the 12x12 you would have make some adjustments and rotate the paper.

I'll definitely have to keep looking then because every Pro I have found so far is selling for atleast $1000. We want to eventually use it to make vinyl decals for cars besides just for my scrapping. Thank you for all the info!!

With the robo pro you can start the cutting where ever you want. I don't know if the regular robo allows that or not. The pro does though. The cutting mat for the robo pro easily handles a 12 x 16 sheet of paper. I got mine from a company in Calif and as far as we could tell, they buy from Graphtec (which is the company that makes the Robo's.)

We went with the robo pro because it was designed for commercial use, which was an important factor to us. It is a much larger machine that the normal robo, so you need to take that into consideration if space is limited. Also, If you are just using it for scrapping, the you could probably go with the less expensive model. Oh, and we paid less than $1000 for it.

What are the cutting sizes on the KNK & the Robo?? I have found in the past the one of the machines could use paper up to 16 inches and one was only 8.5 inches?? I love that the Craft Robo now comes with the KNK software, that was a huge point for me since I have watched demos on the software and it is so versatile. I do like that you can position the blade wherever you want to start cutting on the KNK and it doesn't look like the Craft Robo does that. I really don't want to spend $1000 on the Robo Pro and it looks like the next step down is around $500 so about the same range in price as the KNK. Know of any good comparison websites for the 2 machines??

I had the WB and now have the KNK Element (just so you know the WB isn't being sold right now, Xyron pulled production on them) I love the KNK. I love that you can set the machine so you exactly where it starts, which is such a paper saver. The software is excellent and all inclusive, you don't need an outside software like you did w/ the WB. And, the company is so great to their customers. We all got a CD full of files for Christmas. How sweet of them. Way better than Xyron s CS, who is known for not being the most helpful. this is, of course, just my opinion! lol If you buy a KNK buy from Stickystuff.biz or from paperthreads. Both reputable retailers that are always available for tutorials, plus they both offer phone classes! Excellent!

I have the Craft Robo Pro (got it for Christmas) and I love it! It is a bit more expensive than the Wishblade and there is a definite learning curve but it is a great machine. I researched these cutting machines for over a year before deciding which one I would like to have because this is a once in a lifetime purchase. My Dh ended up making the final decision for me between the CR pro, the Wishblade and the KnK. (I let him make the final decision from the technical and durability standpoint).

I am trying to do a little research before I make my next purchase. I use to have the Cricut but found it too limited and too pricey when you had to keep buying cartridges. So I sold it with intentions of buying one that I can use my PC fonts with and edit them however I want them but I have yet to get one. I wanted to get a Wishblade but then somebody told me about the Klic-n-Kut, that it has much better software and there isn't a huge price difference between them. So tell me your opinions. What do you like or dislike about the machines? Have you used either of them? Any help would and recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
