How to do a layout using NICU pictures?

First off, I am so happy for you that everything has turned out OK. You are certainly very blessed!

Secondly, I would keep the pages simple/classic looking. Maybe not too many stickers or diecuts but instead count on bright colored cardstock to compensate for the abscense of other embellishments. This way, you can relay a sense of brightness and happiness for the birth of your son without compensating the seriousness of the situation. To me, stickers and other embellishments would not be as appropriate for this type of page Good luck and Congratulations!

You could make it like a story book and put it in chronological order.

I think it is important to scrap this time in your son's life in a positive way, but to leave a story about your worry and concern at the same time. I would put the beanie baby on a color copier, reduce it in size, and make clones of it. Then cut them out and use them as a border conecting each BB with some pen work. I would use the colors of the BB for the layout in matts, and other embellishments. When you look at this layout in 10 yrs. from now you will see the experience as a joyful thing to be celebrated. Take lots of pictures through the years with the same BB to chart your son's growth compared to the size of the BB and later in his life those pictures will really tell the story. Can anyone help me with this? My son is now 2 1/2 years old, but was born 13 weeks early. He has no complications due to the prematurity now (thank goodness) and I would like to start tackling those pictures. He was in the hospital for 79 days, so I have quite a stack.

I want to keep it reverant (sp?)of how scary of a time it was without being maudlin. But I'd still like to keep a bit of a sense of humor about it. We have lots of weekly progress shots of him in the isolette with a beanie baby (that's how big he was) and also a one year picture of him holding the same beanie baby.

I'm having a real mental block about this. Anyone else ever do a page like this?
