heat tool or blow dryer?

You definately need the heat tool. The blow dryer just doesn't get hot enough. If you have AC Moore or Michael's you can usually get one for around 12 bucks with a Coupon .

I share the popular opinion.. definitely the heat tool. Hairdryers are not hot enough and force too much air making a mess.

I have the coloriser by EKS, have always been happy with it. Tried the hairdryer once--disaster!

You stamp the image with the special ink, add the powder and shake off the excess, then push down the button on the toaster. Hold your paper (image side up) a few inches above the toaster and watch it "Emboss". I did this for many years prior to the actual invention of the "heat tool".

I'd go for the heat tool, a blow dryer would probably blow away some of the embossing powder before it melts it, if it does.

I love my Marvy, which I got here at sb.com's Superstore. Do NOT get the Hot Boss by Carolee's Creations; I bought that because it was a little cheaper, it wasn't very effective at all.

I think the heating tool gets hotter than a blow dryer. If you can, use a 40% off Coupon to get your heating tool, that's what I did! Have fun shopping
