I hope it's ok to link it here since the superstore here doesn't sell any mulberry paper. jandorasbox She has the thickest (and the cheapest) that I've found so far.

Thanks for the compliment. I hand draw everything myself even if I want a nose cut out from another paper I stil draw it onto that paper. I can't draw to save my life I think so try different expressions and just play around with it til you find a couple you like.

RE: PattyBee: One way to do eyes and noses is to get a punch that does paw prints (paper shapers has one). Use the rounded triangular part for the nose and use two of the oval "toes" for the eyes. Then use a white gel pen for the highlights. Some people use a small easter egg punch for the eyes too, it looks more soleful. Or you can just free-hand cut them, but getting matching eyes can be trickier ...

Which brand of mulberry paper do you use, Patty?

One way to do eyes and noses is to get a punch that does paw prints (paper shapers has one).

I recently uploaded a tear bear 6x6 page for a preschool swap if you all wanna see another sample.

Tear bears (or animals) are made from mulberry paper (a fuzzy, fibrous paper). Instead of cutting or punching you tear them out. They turn out fuzzy and cute. I have a tear bunny in my gallery if you want to look at it.
