Glimmer Mist

I used Glimmer Mist "Leather" to change a stark-white flower into a color that would fit well with my card. I put the flower on a paper plate, and then sprayed, and later tossed the plate. Good idea about spraying in the walk-in shower. I sprayed over my kitchen counter, and was left with some clean up to do, despite using the paper plate.

I bought one bottle (old lace) and have used it on a few lo's. I tried masking as well. It's kinda neat, not sure if I'm totally in love with it. It is great for pages with a distressed look, which I don't do very often, maybe that's why I only think it's okay! I think I may like it if I got another colour or two, something darker, the old lace is a bit too subtle for me.

I have a ton of more examples in my gallery, I love it, I have been using it like crazy!

I tried it at a retreat in May. We stencilled with it and masked with it on a layouts. Although it is interesting - it didn't make me want to get some right away for sure. I don't like how sometimes it blobs on spots - I am not much of a distresser so that is probably why it isn't something I just need to have.

I have a few bottles, but haven't used them much. it does make a bit of a mess, and you have to be careful about overdoing it, cause your paper can wrinkle, etc. but if you don't spray alot, i almost feel like you can't really even see it sometimes.

My favorite use is on flowers. I buy inexpensive white flowers and spray them whatever color I want or need for a lo. I also LOVE the look of them on grungeboard. I usually use a similar color distress ink first and then spray with glimmer mist...turns out terrific. The Tattered Leather looks really good on paper to give it a distressed look and the on grungeboard.

I've done a few backgrounds with the stencils, still practicing mostly, but I finally did one yesterday that turned out pretty good and will be used as a background page on a lo soon.

I've found some helpful tutorials on Youtube. And I also saw where some people took a good size old cardboard box and spray the project inside there. That is what I'm going to start doing.

I got two bottles as a prize and struggle with what to do with it too. My son and I used it on his Valentines and I've put some on cards, but I've never used it on a LO. I have a bright pink and a smoky blue, so perhaps if I had a more neutral color I'd use it.

Coffee shop is my fave too. I also like the gold shimmer that looks silverish in the bottle. (??)

When I want to use GM, I go into my walking shower and spray. Very easy to clean up and its contained, the spray coats/splatters stuff in a 2 foot diameter. ARGHH my papers!

I must be the only person that hasn't got any Glimmer Mist, I have to be completely honest and admit I don't really know what you'd do with it....any suggestions for me?

I LOVE glimmer mist! I haven't tried coffee shop although that is next on my list. I have about 10 colors now. I love them for flowers to age paper and age and color grungeboard.

I think you will enjoy them. Tattered leather and Sand are my favorites...I'm almost out of Sand in fact.

Coffee shoppe is my fave, so much so that I am sadly out of it right now..... It works wonders "aging" papers and flowers, and has a bit of a "coppery" look to it. Have fun with it!

Just got back from a crop and wanted to know your thoughts on the Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist. I bought some and was curious how much others like it and/or tips. I'm pretty excited my new purchase.

What colors are your favorites? I bought the Coffee Shop.
