Anyone have a good circle cutter recommendation?

I'm wanting to get something to cut circles. Does anyone have a kind that they really like? Also, do people have one that they really hate? I bought one by Fiskars years ago and I HATED it.....I could never get it to work for me. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. TIA!!

The Fiskars one is much better now, but I don't own that one. That cutter was so hated that they pulled it and redesigned it. I had one too and hated it.

I have the CM circle cutter which is nice, but I really like the Purple Cows Freestyle because it does a lot more than circles. I got mine for $8.99 at Tuesday Morning.

I have the Fiskars one and like it pretty well... I do wish I could figure out an easy way to cut even rings with it though. Do you have a glass cutting mat? If not, I would think that may help if this is the same one you have:

I love the CM ones, but I also have the Ek Success one which are great since you can turn the blade around and cut large circles.

I really like my coluzzle one. It is easy to store, and inexpensive. I like that they are clear and you can pick what size of circle you are using before you begin cutting and it makes circle mats easy.

I don't remember the maker of the one I have but it's called circle scissors and I ADORE it!!! I have NEVER had a problem and it is super easy to use too.

I have and like the curvy cutter for lg circle and I've used the CM one and really like them.

Thanks for all the reviews. It's just so hard to know which ones are good, kwim. I didn't want to go and buy one and then end up hating it.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my Curvy Cutter from Ek Success . It has a one hand and one piece operation for the cutting blade and whips around the track so easily. No changing blades for different sizes.... You can change the circle size with a click of a finger....can't say enough good about it. The only down side is you have to have a 12X12 glass mat to operate it. I have used a smaller glass mat but it was a pain to try to slide it around.

I have the Curvy Cutter and that works very well. I just don't like to have to pull out the glass mat and all whenever I want to cut. I like the Coluzzle. I just don't have the very big circle template and can't seem to find it anywhere.

What's the largest circle you can cut on the curvy cutter? I have the CM circle (love them), I just can't cut a very large circle.

I have the one from Making Memories and I like it fine for larger circles. I have the Fiskars Shape Cutter and use that one for smaller circles. With the MM, I can make anywhere from 2.5"-9". I use whatever size the Fiskars templates offer (I want to 3"-4", but I could be wrong) and the MM for anything bigger. I haven't tried to use either of them with my glass mat, I bet I'd get a better cut with them. I also have a Blade Runner but haven't figured out how to really use that one. I wonder if there are larger circle templates for BR?

You can put the cutting tool backwards (blade on the outside)on the smaller of the 2 circles and cut a circle that is a little over 11 inches. I do this all the time!

I also bought a Fiskars and hated it--took it back after ruining several photos! I replaced it with the Creative Memories circle cutter set and I love them! It is easy to use, and I never ruin anything with them. I also love the oval shapes they have that you can use with the set!

I am not a fan of most things by CM, but I LOVE their circle cutter. Only problem...I wish they had bigger circles. It doesn't go quite as large as I want.

I think I have them all.....LOL...and my fav is the one from Ek Success . I have CM's and that was my fav then I bought coluzzles and loved that one but the EK one does a 12in circle and it's easy to use.

It glides around so easily and I love that you can cut 'frames' only 1/8" wide. I was afraid of it as it looks to be complicated, but gosh...all I had to do was really sit down and read the instructions. Thanks for the inspiration to do so. It's easy to use.

Ek Success curvy cutter works like a charm. I love that thing.

I love my Ek Success curvy cutters, the glass matt is ESSENTIAL though. I did retry my old Fiskars cutter on a glass matt(I bought one, hated it, threw it in a drawer!)... and it actually worked a lot better than it did on a self healing matt by far. However I still think the Ek Success cutter works MUCH better/smoother. If you didn't want to invest in the curvy cutter, just having the glass mat is nice for other projects too, so even if you got a glass matt to use with your Fiskars it would probably work eons better.

Another tip is to put some repositionable adhesive on the back of your paper, smooth it on to the glass matt before you cut - it helps keep the paper from slipping and making a miscut. You'll have to clean off your glass matt from time to time but it really helps with the cuts so it's worth it (for me at least!)

Is that the one you are refering to? It cuts 6" max circle; would be to small for me.

ok I need some help!!! My friend bought an EK cutter..the pink one..I'll link it. She brought it to me b/c she couldn't get it to work.. I was like, oh I'm sure it's easy as pie...LOL. I broke the blade on her and I couldn't get it to cut anything..the paper slid around, the cutter slid around...it was a disaster. So is a glass mat what she needs?? She said that the package didn't say anything about anything like that..??? I hope I can get this to work for her.

Also, I have the Fiskars so I'm going to try it on glass..I've always assumed that a self-healing mat would be best but that doesn't appear to be the case.
