Hi, ladies...

I got a traffic ticket that I totally deserve.
What I did was wrong, but it was provoked by a complete jerk who tried to run me off to the curbs. I drove on the 'curb' for a while until I could get off the highway. I should not have done it. Could have gotten out gracefully.

OK, I admit I have some anger mgmt issues.. esp when there are jerks on the road.

Dawn~ I now relate... I posted back to someone that was posting on a thead I have going and she took it way different than I meant to. Now I feel bad...

It stinks too. I hate making people feel bad and I hate when people get all moody on threads because they missed something that would have been expressed in real life (darn smilies... need to use them more or something...I dunno). Anyway, It made me feel like and now I want chocolate (even though it was a weight loss thread). So I think I will not be hanging around here for a few days. Just need some time to myself. Who knows... I might be back on later tonight. Just not feeling it right now.

What are you all into? I'm watching "Walk The Line." I hadn't seen it yet.

SUCH a good movie!!! I'm eating and watching tv... dh is flipping between new channels... he loves politics!

I'm just bumped out from the traffic ticket today... I was an idiot, but that guy who drove me off the curb was a jerk.

Walk the Line is one of the few movies I will watch more than once.

I didn't know about his brother getting killed when he was a boy. That was sad. I knew something was gonna happen when he was messing with the saw though.

They're doing an amazing job singing! I thought that was awesome too.

Went well. Most people we've had so far this year. Almost ran out of food. Ended up putting back the steaks from my ds's to-go dish to cover. But that was alright. Son already fed himself at home. So it all worked out. Hated not having left overs for the pastor's family. Got lots of complements and thanks. Felt really good.

The difference between conviction and condemnation.

Conviction will make you see what you did wrong.. Condemnation will make you hyperfocus on your mistake.

Conviction makes you change. Condemnation makes you angry and/or ashamed.

Conviction comes from God. Condemnation comes from Satan.

Identify which one it is. If it's condemnation, release it and know you WILL get another chance at exactly the same thing, with an opportunity to do things differently. Don't give Satan any more of your time or energy.

If it's conviction, ask for forgiveness if there's someone you've wronged. Give yourself the grace, you would show another who made the same mistake.

Yes. I had help serving the food. She got a bit befuddled but I think it was good for her. I know I wouldn't want someone coughing or sneezing or sniffling to be serving me my food! I stayed close by and gave her all the help I could but this allowed me to run to the kitchen to blow my nose, sneeze, or cough then wash my hands.

I think it's good to get people out of their comfort zones. I know it's good for me.

Yes. This person I had no idea that what I said would bother her though. I specifically had even thanked her for posting on the thread before. I didn't intend it that way AT ALL. So I feel bad... I think she might be a bit more sensitive based on the past posts I have read, but still. Stinks...

I am just not feeling like chatting on threads that much.

I have a friend that gave up "being right" for lent. I told her it was an awesome idea. I am not giving it up for lent, but I am kind of working on that. So maybe it bothered her that I asked where she got that info from. I didn't mean it as derogatory. I was curious, but I think she took it as an insult. I went to the grocery store and while there I was thinking about this and to me she came across as full of herself. Her response to my question was to name drop famous people she knows. To me that is never a cool thing to do. It just screams ego issues. I decided to let it go though. Perhaps, I can learn from my friend that gave up being right. No matter wether I agree or not. I don't always have to say something...when I do it becomes about my ego and we don't really need two egos battling it out on any thread.

So I am going to avoid that thread I started for a few days. When I feel like it, I think I will start a new one (have to anyway as part of the challenge that starts in March) and move on.

I am convicted that i made the road more dangerous for other drivers because of my anger. That is what I need to change and work on.

The condemnation does come from Satan. As does anger. He has a foothold on me because of those, I need to pray and work on them...

I am not convicted that I should forgive the jerk who ran me off... but I am not angry at him, because justice will be served one day.. just not by me!

Letting go is a problem that I have... thanks Vivian, I think besides solving the minor traffic problem, you are solving my bigger problem...

GIRL, you gave me what-for for a post to someone else. Oh, the praying and thinking (probably over thinking) I did over that one! I even PMed the other person with an apology. But it was worth it because I got to chat with you and become friends.

Giving up "being right?" Even though I've been trying to learn that, I'm not there yet. Although at least online, it's now easier for me not just not comment. In real life, I do keep my mouth shut more than I did, say, five years ago. Still talk alot but not as much.

I've got an opinion on EVERYTHING and am all too willing to share my opinion on ANYTHING! But I think I am improving in not being so offensive. I still step on alot of toes, for that I'm sorry.

I won't lie to anyone even to save their feelings. I've just learned to not say what I'm thinking all the time.

I'm rambling. I'm blaming the cold meds.
