Yep! Sure are. Most Sizzix and Cuttlebug dies are cross-compatible. The only problems are with the Bigz dies -- they don't fit on the narrower machines.
Yeppers and actually with a wedge they'll also hit in the old Sizzixx also....tried it with an embossing cuttlebug die. WHich thrilled me cause I lvoe some of the new disney dies coming out.
I've got the Original Big Red Sizzix Monster (LOL), and I use the Cuttlebug embossing dies all the time in it. I'm just aggravated that I'd need another machine to use the Bigz. Grrrr!
You can use the smaller, 2x2 dies and embossing folders in the Sidekick but not the larger 3x3 dies or 4x5 embossing folders. The 2x4 (?) alpha dies work in the Sidekick, too. I find if you're going to use a variety of dies, that the Cuttlebug machine is the best way to go since it takes EVERY die out there. From Sizzlets to Thick Cuts to Bigz to Cookie Cutters, Cuttlebug takes them all. And embosses beautifully.

This is so good to know. I have the big red one also and I hardly use it. Now that I know the Cuttlebug Dies are compatible, Im happy and will be using it more!
How about with the Big Kick??? I was wondering if I need anything extra to go with the cuttlebug dies. I thought that I read somewhere before that you need an extra pad or something for embossing and for the smaller dies.
I have the sizzix sidekick, and you do need the adapter with the cuttlebug dies, it's just a piece of plastic shaped like the dies, about 1/4 inch thick. As long as you use this, it works great.

I didn't use it and it worked great. I bought the adapter, thinking I'd need it. (It's a black piece of plastic about the size of a Sizzlit.) The adapter is for using regular QuicKutz dies (not Cookie Cutters) in the Sidekick. So I never use the adapter and Cuttlebug dies work great.
