Congratulations on becomng CMC's gals!! I have been a CMC for a year and a half now. I say go for it. Have your Open House!! I am having mine for a few hours in the morning and then a few more in teh early evening. Set up your products ini themes. If you don;t have enough product to "SHow Off", ask your upline or side lines. They should let you borrow for the show, then you can give it back to them. Let your customers know that this will be an order only Open House if you do not have the product.

Well, I have a couple leads re: forming a couple of scrap clubs, but so far, nothing concrete. But that is ok. We are having our unit meeting tonight, so I am oging to talk more to my upline who signed me up and hopefully I can get some things rolling with a lot of the ideas that I received on this board (which is wonderful, by the way!)

Thanks for the idea steakgoddess re: borrowing product. I will ask about that tonight too!

Hello everyone!
I'm new to this board. I've been tossing around the idea of becoming a CMC and I have a few questions for you. I'd like to turn this into a good supplemental income so that I can stay home. I have a 20 month old and will soon be a mom again in 2 weeks. So, with that as well, I'm also not looking to start until after the 1st of the year when things settle down.
How many of you have small children and find this manageable?
Do you have to host Crop parties and open houses to be more successful? I like the idea, but have limited space in my home and would also find the little ones distracting. (my dh would help, but there's only so much you can do to keep them out of stuff and quiet) Although, after bedtime I'm sure would be better, but again, I don't have a large area to scrap in.
Are business cards part of the package when you sign up? or do they charge to get your name printed.
I'm familiar with all the requirements and I think I could accomplish that. I have a large contact base due in part to the theatre I'm involved with. I'm just curious if I could turn this into a profitable business with 2 small small kids. I have a lot of ideas thanks to all of you on this board.

I think you should go for it. It's fun and wonderful. You have nothing to lose. What you get when you start up is worth so much more then you are paying for it. If you want to make it an income, yes I think you should hold crops often. Remember it's not about who you know it's about who you don't know! Your goal should be to meet as many people you can; make a friendship and teach them how to preserve their memories. Business cards do not come with the start up. You have to buy them I think they cost 29.99 for 1,000.

I have a 5 year old, when I have my shows my husband takes her to his parents house to visit Grandms and pop. Then I usally take her the next night to my parents. (Just to give him some space and thanks(Its alot on a man with a house full of women))

Space - You don't have to worry about space to much. Have your shows at your host house. And when you want to hold a big event; look into schools and firehouses. I know where I live you can rent the gym at a local school for only $20.00 a day. Your fee's will take care of that in no time!!!!

Hi everyone1 I hope everyone is doing well. I am so excited, I am going to have my 1st Mystery GT on the 11th of November. I handed out invitations to my son's preschool, I know I will at least have 5 ppl coming.
** Anyone get PODS yet? I got mine today, and I love them! I am going to "make over" my closet tonight to see how they will fit.

Got Scraptrs today. Really like the incentive for the month. I like the cinch bag.. great for a day out a tthe park;)

** Also got Lasting Moments yesterday. Have to say I think this is the best issue yet. I am so happy that they are starting to recognize other paper crafts in the mag to show the different options for using our supplies.

I agree (and so does my neighbor) that Dec LMs is the best i have seen since i signed up in april!!
I went to a meeting on monday, won a few things (yayy) and bought a cute tshirt that has the CM logo on the back and on the front it says, "Don't worry, be scrappy"

I am also doing a challenge that i need to hold 4 GT's by nov 21st. So far i have GT's booked for nov 1st, 5th, and the 13 (that one is a double host).
Tonite a lady in my neighborhood that had ordered from my older dd's fundraiser called me back since i had called to tell her it came in. I asked if she scrapbooks and she does and will come to the nov 1st GT. Yayy

So you always gotta ask everyone!! It doesnt hurt and you never know...Whether it be if they scrapbook or wish to hold a GT for you.

Hey everyone! It's been awhile since I've posted. I've been reading and seems like everyone is doing great with the new GT's.

The reason I'm here is to see if any of you have any suggestions for games to play for Croptoberfest. I'm holding mine this Saturday and I have 14 ladies coming. I'd like to give a prize away each hour. and I'm lacking 2 games to do this. My crop is from 9a to 9p and i have all sorts of stuff lined up. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated...from other CMC or even if you attended a Croptoberfest event and played fun games. Thanks in advance!

What I did is after i put the chairs all out and everything was set up, my hubby put a piece of paper that said YOU WIN, under a chair. The person sitting in that chair won. And because my hubby did it, it was a surprise to me!

Maybe you could play bingo somehow?

or have items in the catalogue and see who finds the page they are on first?

Or just draw a name...

Hello everyone! I had another GT last night. It wasn't to bad. There were 6 people including the Host and the total sales were 520.00. It was a lot of fun. Today me and my hubby started to paint my CM room...I will let you know how it comes out!

I think the success plan is 30 day you have to sell $800, 60 day is another $800 and 90 day is another $1200. Each time you start from $0. I got the 60 day plan...

I need to start handing out the wish lists at all my GT's i have planned in november. (i have one on nov. 1, 6, 9th and 13 and the one on the 13th may be a double host)

I accidentally got a customer who signed up a few months ago but thank goodness she backed out. If i get any to be consultants i will pass them along to my upline...im not ready for a downline yet...

Did you get the Dec. issue in the mail with your Nov. Scraps? Just wondering because I thought that starting Oct. 10, the magazine came with our orders?

i just got my november scraps in the mail. As for my dec LM's i got that with an order i just recently placed...i think it was after oct 10th?
if you placed an order and it didnt come tell them? when you go to pay for your order it should say they are adding the LM mag...it did for me...

I still haven't reciened mine yet either...But I will be placing an order on Friday so we will see....Since I'm a new consultant I have a question....How soon do we find out what the new products are? I know there aren't any for November but, what about December?

Crazy Crop,
Normally you find out waht the new products are in the December issue of Scraps. Sometime a Unit Leader will get them "Early" in their Autoship.
