Hello all!! Just wanted to stop by and say "hi", and apologize for not being around much. I am starting a new job tomorrow, and it has been two weeks of running around like a nut trying to get everything done!! Hope to have some more time to comment on LO (and maybe even do some of my own!) once I settle into the job! Hope you are doing well...

Well, I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one too busy to be on this thread. I was feeling guilty that I haven't been here in awhile. I haven't seen too many LO's here. I know that with the holiday season, everyone is busy, so for now, why don't we just ask anyone who would like a critique to please pm me or some of the other ladies. What do y'all think???

Deedah, maybe you could chalk the edges of those green letters a brown a little so they mix more with the page and add a big green photo corner to the lower left side of the pic to tie it all together. HTH

Well, I told you I'd be back! I finished the 94-page monstrosity that is known as my sister's wedding scrapbook. On Christmas morning, literally. I've written a couple blogs about it, if you want to check them out in MyPlace.

I'm not uploading every page, but I've uploaded enough! All the pages I've uploaded in 2007 (there's about eight more of them) are the newest and last ones.

The book has already been presented, so I can't make any changes to pages. But I'm always open to critiques for the future!

THANKS SO MUCH to everyone on this thread! I really have learned a lot from your suggestions, and thanks for allowing me to get ideas from your pages when I'm critiquing them, as well.

Count me in. You can go to my gallery and critique any lo. Please leave your comments in my gallery. I think by leaving them there, others who visit my gallery who are not keen on this thread, will see that I'm okay with all comments. Maybe it'll set a trend for what I was hoping for when I originally joined this site. My thinking was, if you put your stuff out there in a semi-public domain, you have to acknowledge that you are subjecting yourself to all kinds of opinions. You take the ones that work for you, and ignore the ones that don't. Thanks for starting this thread. One more thing, I'd also appreciate a post in this thread indicating that you've visited my gallery, in case others were curious, too. I hope that's not asking too much. Thanks again! I have to go back and catch up on all the other pages.

Ok, I got to page 6 and decided there's no way I can get through the rest of the pages and everyone's los. So, if it's all right with everyone else, I started commenting on los posted for January. If you posted los on this thread before then that you'd like me to comment on, please let me know. I'd be happy to oblige.

About my gallery, the whole thing is fair game, but I'm especially interested in your thoughts on Bat Cat and any of the Audubon Zoo pages on the second page of my gallery. Thanks in advance!

Thanks for your critique. I've never used those swivel brads, but thanks for pointing out an lo that could use them. Also, on the 2-pg lo in my gallery that contained "Bat Cat", I mentioned that I realized I should make the title bigger so that it stands out more. So, I agree with you. Black or brown font? And, would it take away from the Halloween title on the left page?

I left more than two cents on "Angel Terrace." Hope it helps, or gives you some insight, at the very least. I'm starting to think I'm getting much better at the critiquing than at the creating. (Little) grr.

If I tried to dunk my kitties, i'd be missing an eye pretty quick!

For your Bat Cat title i'd use the same color U used for the HALLOWEEN on the other page, maybe a slightly smaller font. It wont take anything away fom page one, on the contrary, I think it will balance the double page nicely.

i scraplifted the design for Angel Terrace... but i made so many changes... (flipped the lo on the side, it was an 8x11, made it a 12x12) the more I scrapped, the more I was thinking oh-oh, big trouble . Yes, its a big a**ed LO. I should have lifted the whole thing a bit. Thanks for the critique!!

And its easier to critique (after the fact) than create, I think. For me anyway, I dont always know what the page will look like when im dome with it... even when its a sketch or scraplift (obviously!!)

fill free to look at my gallery and tell me what you all think dont be nices if you dont like it then tell me so . I know two of them are complete flops.

Leah, sent you some comments, too. Beebuzz, yeah they are self-cleaning, which is one reason why we finally gave up on the whole thing. We just didn't get started on her early enough, and one less thing we have to worry about.

ohhh. I would also love to hear some honest critique. I do not have a ton of stuff up on my gallery yet (it is running slow right now) but will be adding more soon. I would love to hear what you think of what is there though...
