What do you do with LOs in progress?

Do you leave them sitting on a table? Do you stick everything in an envelope? Or do you have another clever solution?

Do any of you use the In Progress box? This looks like an interesting solution, but seems a little pricey ... especially considering I have 4 LOs in progress right now.

I don't have room to leave anything out, but I would prefer to leave everything in place (but not glued down) on my LO when I put it away. So far I've been carefully transferring the pages to a large, flattish box, putting a pack of paper on top to hold everything down, and storing that in the closet. Which is okay, but I'm hoping there might be a better solution.

Mine get stacked usually, but sometimes they are put in the album to get to later. If you like the page in progress box why don't you try boxes you get from the local pizzeria. You could alter those to look cute if you want.

My "in progress" LO get put into 12x12 pastic sleeves. All paper, cardstock, pictures, embellishments and such that is to go on the page is included in the sleeve until I come back to it. I do this with all LO's that I do not finish. Sometimes I am working on a page and I loose all ideas that I had, so I pack it up in it's sleeve and come back to it when it pops in my head. I try to not have TOO many "in progress" or they will get away from me, so I tend to visit the "in progress" pages every time I sit down to scrap and see if something pops up in my mind for them.

I use the plastic sleeves. An advantage is that you can see into it easily and remind yourself what in it.

I have a large built in china-cabinet in my dining room where I scrap,,,,,I transfer the LO to the cabinet and it sits there until I get back to it,,,,but I've been known to leave it on the dining room table, walking back and forth, tweaking it here and there,,,,,but only when I can keep an eye on it,,,

I like using 2 gallon plastic bags, since they take up less room than pizza boxes. I am also a huge fan of removable adhesive ( Herma Dotto ) so I can put things where I think I'll use them later so I don't forget my original design ideas, but I can still change my mind later if I think of something different.

when I bought a bunch of these Art Bin Super Satchels they came with these great slightly larger than 12 x 12, plastic, divider sheets that you can see through. I use one divider sheet on the bottom of my layout so I don't accidently bend the paper and place another on top when I am not working on the page. Then if I am going to a crop, I just take my stack of divider sheets & work in progress pages and place it in the art bin and I'm off.

and I also sometimes use old, scratched up, 12 x 12 protection sheets to store work in progress.

I have a pink page in progress binder...but I only put the layouts in there I am sick of and have kind of given up on.. some have been in there quite awhile...I think there are 3 now..one is 2 years old.
I usually try to finish a layout. If it gets too late at night I can leave it out on the kitchen table. Sometimes when that happens and I wake up and head out to the kitchen in the morning and I see the layout in a new light, the whole thing changes...pps and design..it just takes on a whole new life.

I have a bunch of 13x15 ziplocks that I use when I need to set the lo's aside and take a break.

I'm sensing a product opportunity here ...
I can almost visualize what I want, I think I need to play with some materials.

I leave it out on my desk.. Sometimes when I come back to the desk I'll rearrange everything and it takes on a whole new look...sometimes my "works in progress" will sit for days on my desk before I sit down and scrap again.

My in progress layouts are stored chronologically, in a box, in Ziploc bags of varying sizes(depending on whether or not there is other stuff besides pictures). For my heritage 12x15s I have boxes that fit.

I leave them on my desk if I have room or I have some of the large ziplocs. I just called my mom who buys them and she says she gets them at safeway or fry's. They come in a box of 12 for $4, she says.

I leave it out on my work area. Then when I go into the room I look at it to see what else it needs. I do that with a lot of things. Leave something then glance over at it when in the room if I'm ify about something.

Dangggggggggggggggggggggg we don't have either safeway or fry's here I am going to look around though and see what I find,,,,maybe Sweetbay or Albertsons has them,,,,,

I either just leave them on my desk (if I know I am coming right back to it) or store it in a stackable paper tray

I was told at one time that Albertsons did carry them. But I am in Oregon so things could be different.
I usually leave them in large ziploc bags too. But Our company buys them in bulk, so I buy them from the company.

I'm notorious about having several projects going at once, so I put mine in the huge Ziplocs (they are great, aren't they?) and then stack those inside one of those plastic, hinged-lid boxes made for 12 x 12 paper. That way I have all my in progress pages or projects in one place, but none of the projects get mixed up together.

That box is the first thing I reach for when I start work. And I tell myself when I'm reaching for it how awesome I am for attempting to finish something old before I start something new.

That is hilarious about your cat licking your photos!! My cats will lay on my LOs, they haven't started licking them yet. Hey, you never know it might add a nice distressed look to your LO!

I leave them on my table. I actually purchased a magnetic box which is 12 x12 and comes with magnets to hold layouts in place. I think it's called layouts in progress. i don't use it as often as I should.

I've been really interested in hearing some good ideas. I really need some tips. I'm running out of space very fast for my in progress layouts.

Walmart has the bags. I've bought them there before. Not sure if they still carry them, but I'm pretty sure.

I was just thinking about this very thing earlier today. I have quite a few LOs "in progress". If it's recent and I'm still working on it, I'll leave it out on my desk. But I have a few that I got stuck on and just put them aside. Right now I have them in my MM desktop organizer; one behind the other, but I was thinking of maybe getting another one of those 12x12 plastic Sterilite drawers and putting them in there.

While reading this post I also had another idea. Some of my "in progress" LOs have been in there for a bit and I can't recall what I was going to do with the LO so from now on, before I decide to put it aside, I am going to take a pic of where I left off so I know where to pick up from:)

I have kids, so I ca't leave them on my desk like I would like to.
I use the plastic cases, about 12.5 x 13 inches, and probably less than an inch deep. I can put a few in progress and embellies and small tools in one. I have several. I use them for in progress LO's and for in progress swaps and pending swaps. I would be totally lost without them.

Yep, I ALWAYS use my Page In Progress box. In fact, I can't function without it--actually "them," not "it," because I bought 2 so I could do 2-page layouts simultaneously. Then I bought extra magnets--any brand will do.

I found some Hefty 2 1/2 gal ziploc bags in my closet that I bought at some point in the past. Can't remember where. They are 14 3/8ths x 16.

I use the Creative Memories 12 x 15 albums. This is a good way to store those. I have some CM 12x15 boxes that I got a while back from my CMC, but, those aren't to be had anymore. I'm going to have to switch to these Heftys when the boxes come apart. Not bad.
