You can't buy any kind of alcohol in a store in PA except a state store and beer can also be bought at a beer distributor and at bars to take with you.

we can buy beer and wine at any store here but liquer you have to get from the ABC store.

They had this stuff at the BX on base called Barefoot wine. Anyone heard of it?

Brian and I were shocked on our Honeymoon when we walked into the store to get some snacks one night and saw that we could buy wine or beer.

And I'm back. Hubby made me french toast for lunch and was hollering at me that it was getting cold

Gotta go. Geoff is not feeling well. Bad cough, runny nose, kind of fussy. All the classic symptoms of a cold.

In MA, unless you're within 10 miles of the NH border, you can't buy any booze at all on Sundays. MA has some grocery stores with wine and beer aisles and they get roped off at close of business Saturday night and reopened Monday morning.

Here in NH, you can't buy from 11:45 pm to 6 am.

the only cake i like is angelfood cake, unless you count poundcake but i see that more as a bread cause it is so heavy

My pugger is being a mama's girl today. She hopped back up on the bed with me and is curled up at my side. Usually she's glued to daddy.

MA is all about laws and taxes. The only reason that towns within 10 miles of the NH border can have open liquor stores on Sunday is because everyone already goes to NH to shop anyway, because we don't have a sales tax and MA is raising theirs to 6.5% from 5% and MA doesn't like it's citizens to shop elsewhere for any reason.

Oh MA doesn't have the same spending problem that CA does. They just like to control everyone's lives. NH used to be very fiscally conservative, but the last couple of elections took care of that.

Which is exactly why DH and I are trying to get orders out of this state. Wayyy too expensive. I put in for orders to Alaska, and a special duty assignment in Texas. We could rent a whole house down there for what we pay for a two bedroom apartment here.

You're preaching to the choir. My property taxes are going up another almost 3% this year after going up 5% last year because the city's aldermen have never passed up a chance to spend money frivolously. They bought a $500 million snow melting machine. We don't use it because it's too expensive to run. The idea of the machine is that you park it somewhere in the city, plow that area and dump the snow into it to be melted into the sewer system and then go to the next area. The city keeps it in a parking lot and pays to truck the snow from all over our city to it AND shuts down streets around it during the times it's used.

I try not to read too much about city government because I end up yelling very very loudly. I try to keep up with what I need to vote. John keeps telling me to run for office. I'd rather work on a campaign instead of having my own campaign.

I always left it up to Abby whether she wanted to get him something, but the year her stepmohter called her and told her WHAT to buy him I decided I wasn't spending my money on him anymore. On top of that he was in arrears on childsupport, wouldn't change his insurance to orthodonic so she could get braces and left her off the vision insurance and wouldn't change it.
Some years she wants to buy him a card, some not. I think this will be a not year since he stood her up for Thanksgiving and never called her back when she called him to ask if she could have one of the 4 cars he has at his house to drive next year so she can work.

I'm home and ready to start the cleaning shores. Although I do have to say that dh and the kids have done wonderful. Took care of most of my list, dh even vacuumed my scrappy room. I need to go straight up the laundry room and scrub the bathroom floor. After that, it is scrappy time.

poor Geoffey. He climbed up into my lap said "Mommy I need you" (He tells me this all the time) and started snoring. He's not feeling well. He's not running a fever so I'm not worried yet and he didn't take a nap today so that could be contributing to it too.

I take all my vitamins/supplements at the same time as all my other meds. I should probably make sure that is okay, so they are all working effectively.

But other than making sure the kids can be with him on that day if they choose. I do not go out of my way.
