love this challenge!
I have a question though. You say to use 3 B&W pictures. Can we use a color picture also as long as we have 3 black and white pics? Just wondering...

Just black and white photos.
Alright. I was just curious
Since St.Petersburg is going to be one word, you can use color pictures as long as you have 3 that are black and white.
I finished my lo for this challenge, but have a problem with uploading it into my gallery. It always says bad image, I tried the images I uploaded before and the same thing! I don't know what's wrong with it. Did anybody have this problem before?

I'm having issues with the gallery too... not sure what is going on.
Hmm, this is going into my faves and we'll see if I can pull this one off. For the monochromatic embellishments, they don't have to be black and white, correct? (Sorry if someone already asked.)
I'm gonna try this challenge. Will try to get to this layout this weekend. Gotta get some bw photos developed but I have an idea brewing.
Really cute pages so far.

The embellies can be black or white or any other color. But they have to be the same color, ie all have to be black or all be white or all be green or whatever.
Maybe Estee can clarify if that's still confusing.... I think she generally wants the embellies (all the embellies and you must use at least 3) to be monochromatic. She did say upthread that neutral embellies can also be used on the project along with your monochromatic embellies.

Thanks, dear That clarifies... when I think monochromatic, I immediately think of black and white, so I wanted to make sure it could be other colors, but it just has to be the same color throughout. Got it
Ok, question...does making a 2-toned blue title still count as monochromatic? As in I would use a light blue and a darker blue for my lettering, but it's still going to be blue.
Here's mine. The bingo card, ticket next to it, tags, buttons, and definition strips are all in the brown/tan color family. Normal Day (Lucky)

What wonderful layouts so far. I gotta get caught up on the love, but I have been so admiring these entries.
Well, Estee, this was indeed a challenge! This was my first try at converting color photos to black and white. I monkeyed around with these photos quite a bit in an editing program trying overlays and screens to get the contrast right.
Ok...I should've asked ahead of time, but is selective coloring in the b/w photos ok?? If so, here is my submission. If not, just let me know and I'll see if I can get another one by the end of the month.
