I'm home! Getting the house ready, we invited a couple of ds friends for birthday cake.

Liz, I am sure you both will make the right decicion. You seem like such a level-headed person. Does this big house have space for a big scrapbook room??

Liz, I was a city girl, until I got here. We are outside of the city, and have corn fields, farms, and I love it!

I think that this is the best time to buy a house, will be praying for ya.

Clara what kinds of foods are in a PR feast? How different is PR food from Mexican food?

Oh Ria, I dont know how to translate it. We are having "arroz con gandules y mofongo" with steaks and salad.

We dont use anything spicy hot, like chile or jalapenos. We dont eat tortillas, our diet is mostly rice and beans. Lots of bread, plantains, garlic, and root vegetables. To season our food is mostly herbs, garlic, and sazon (dont know how to translate).

Interesting Clara. I didn't grow up in a Hispanic household. I'm still learning about Mexican food. We in my house eat a lot of tortillas: burritos, tacos, quesadillas. I even use tortillas to make pizza. The crust comes out thin and crispy.

The girl I work with just got back from NY visiting her sister... O the flight she was next to a lady that was sick... When she got to wrok today she was cough'n and clamy and did I MENTION cough'n? anyway so I told her I would rater wait on the the on one training until she got to feeling better . . . I didnt want her hacking on me all morning... She got upset and went home... I dont see a problem with asking someone to take there snotty nose and coughy body to tehre own cube so that I dont catch it... I dont see a problem with that at all.. Anyway she went home and the man I work with got the flu shot and he was hacking for most the after noon... I told my boss that I didnt want to be exposed to it any longer then I had to so... I was leaving early! RUDE? NOT RUDE? I am sorry I dont want to train you for the fear that I take H1N1 home to my daughter?!? NOT RUDE!

Training has gone well but the girl that is leaving the girl I am replacing is something else... She sent out a global email introducing me at "Kelly 2.0" (her name is kelly) anyway so I was bothered by this what happened to my name? I dont mind making a joke but to everyone? Thats a bit much dont you think? anyway so they took me to lunch toady so I could meet everyone and when I got there 99% said you must be "Kelly 2.0" and by this time I was really bothered by that and I said.... Yes I am Kelly 2.0 the UPGRADE... (She got pissed) I told them that the upgrade fdoesnt come with the DRAMA Function that was removed and replaced with WILLING TO HELP and FRIENDLY TO ALL function.... SHE WAS OOOO MAD... Anyway so I told them I didnt mind the joke but my name was CACIE!

usually when things are upgraded they number it higher.... 2.0... 10.3.5 (that was one of the mac updates)

I have come to realize that houses are like fishbowls. You tend to grow in proportion to the size of the house you have.

And once you've grown to a certain size, it's REALLY hard to go smaller.

Today I need to do laundry, dishes, clean bathrooms, and make a card. The kids get out of school early so I am taking them to get a pumpkin and we will carve it this evening.

Hi Kelly, I think I am the only one here and havent been here in quite sometime, I will be nursing my youngest ds who had surgery yesterday and hopefully cleaning my scrappy space and getting something accomplished, lol

Good morning! Today is my last day at my current job. My tummy doesn't feel good, and I don't know why but I hope that it's not the flu or anything. It's probably just my UC. I got my rough draft of my persuasive research paper finished last night, it's VERY rough. My brain is just mush right now so I know it's pretty crummy, but I guess that's what rough drafts are for. Not much to do today, my boss was going to take me out to lunch but his car broke down so I guess I wont get to see him before I leave. I'll probably be around till I have to leave for class.

Laura, what type of surgery? Is he feeling ok?

Desi, congrats on getting the rough draft done! Nervous about the new job?

A little. I'm always nervous about big decisions. I keep wondering if I'm going to like it, will it be better than this one, did I make the right choice? I think I did, I think it'll be less stressful and I'll be a happier person for it, but I worry anyway. I come by it naturally though, my family is full of worriers lol.

OOo I just noticed you'll be carving pumpkins later. I love pumpkin carving. I carved mine on Sunday. I have pictures, but I keep forgetting to upload them. I gotta get some fall tree ones on here to send to Clara too. I'll try to remember that when I get home tonight, like I said, my brain is mush lol.

Kelly, he had his tonsils and adanoids removed, he is almost 8, he is ok, just real sore and wanting to eat more than he should, upset cause he cant go trick or treating.

well, been up since 4 so i am going to go, will be back later to see who else i can catch up with.

For anyone who followed the saga of my paternal grandma.... the one with all the emergency calls for falls, not the one I take grocery shopping, etc.....

She passed peacefully in her sleep this morning at 7 AM, at the ripe old age of 90. I am okay. It is a sad day, but also a joyous one in a way. She has desperately missed her husband who died some 30 years ago, and her 3 sisters who have all gone before her. Now she can be with them again.

Oh Elizabeth, how bittersweet. I'm sorry to hear of your grandma's passing, but I'm sure she's happy with her dh and her sisters now.

I'm at work, busy, but not crazy busy. Which is good cause I had a little bit too much wine yesterday. *****B-day celebrations on week nights, not a good idea. We had fun, but now I feel like blahhhhhhh.

I haven't even bought pumpkins yet this year. Been too wet to go to the pumpkin patch. I think we are goign to let the little men color on pumpkins with markers instead of carving this year!!! I can't see my OCD children (especially Jackson) getting the pumpkin insides on their hands!

Well, I have my oatmeal and water. Better get started on all this work stuff!

Sorry to hear about your grandmother Elizabeth. Sounds like she had a full life and was ready to join her family.

I won't be doing Halloween. I don't have kids, don't know any kids. So this year as I often do, I have plans to go out for dinner with a friend then people watch.

Heather we let Micayla and Geoff paint a pumpkin every year and Brian carves one. We'll be doing that tonight before the parade (if they have the parade) and trick or treating is tomorrow night.

In our town it's always the last Thursday in October. From 6-8. Not sure why but it's been that way since I was little girl. The Halloween parade is always the last Wednesday in Oct. The kids end up with so much candy.

how do I get rid of my little friend? I tried putting a cup of sprite out to attract him. I figured once he went into the cup I could put a lid on it and take him outside, but he doesn't seem interested.

Today should be a busy day. The good news is that we have boxes today for the people. Most of my day yesterday was spent telling people I was sorry we didn't have any.....and it wasn't even my fault......oh well.
