storing ink pads

Hi there! I was wondering what is the best way to store my ink pads? Mine seem to dry out or give very light impressions the next time I go to use them. Thanks in advance for any help.

I use the Clost to My Heart stamp pads. They are designed so that when they are closed the ink pad sits upside down so the ink stays on the top of the pad. I do have a few none CTMH pads and I store those upside down but I still have to reink those more often.

Dye ink need to be upside down so the ink doesn't settle to the bottom.

Pigment, alcohol and Distress inks (which are dye but different) can all be stored right side up.

Def keep them away from a lot of light and heat it will dry them out.
