So I am a hockey fan, and this year my team made it to the playoffs. A tradition for our team is to have a "white out" where everyone wears white! It is pretty amazing. I want to try and capture this memory into my scrapbook.

I was actually thinking of doing a complete "white out" page, use all white paper, embellishments, etc. Does anyone have any suggestions/ideas on how to approach this page without making it look to boring? I was thinking maybe some textures, but what else?

Hi! What a fun idea! I would, if it were me, use dimension where possible to create natural drop shadows. That way you can stick with the all white theme, but see each item.

Maybe even also play with a light grey inking on the edge of somethings to create a faux drop shadow.

Dry embossing for the textures and embellishments maybe metallic?? IÂ´d love to see how the page will end up!

I've done a few white los and as long as you get different textures onthere, it looks fab!:

There was a color challenge at one point, I think, that was all white. Let me see if I can find it.

I agree with Kimi that monochromatic LOs look fab as long as you make sure to use different textures. You can even play with slightly different shades, like an off-white and white. Anyway, I found a few LOs in the gallery:

Kimmi, I tried searching for it, though, and couldn't get it to come up. The search feature around here rarely cooperates with me. I'd say it's operator error if it wasn't for the fact that others have the same complaint!

You can use some clear elements. I did that once for an all white layout.

You guys are GREAT! I haven't used the forums much and didn't even know there were challenges =\

You all have given me some great ideas! I think I can actually start on my lo instead of just starring at it lol.

I did this for an "all one color" challenge once. Despite the buttons photographing brownish, everything was white.

i would put the pics on black cardstock and do all embellies in white. it will look great. i have an album that i only pic one color and all the embellies and ribbons, buttons etc are that color only. check out my album if you need to see for a visuall aid.

Once again thank you all for the ideas! As requested, here is what I made. It was really a challenge for myself because I like color, lol.

I love adding clear gems and white/off white pearls to white LOs even if they aren't entirely white. They add great texture and sparkle!
