What's a good adhesive for vellum?

I've got a project that requires using vellum. Usually I can hide the adhesive, but not this time.

I have vellum tape, but it still looks unsightly. Is there a good or great product/technique to adhere vellum without destroying the look of the LO?

Run it through a Xyron machine or the spray is best.

I found this adhesive especially for vellum, it's by 'sticky fingers' just called vellum bond. I used it on some really delicate embossed vellum for an anniversary card, and it is virtually invisible and incredibly strong too.

i don't have a Xyron machine and I had not heard of vellum glue dots. So, I'm off the HL to get some.

I HATE vellum glue dots, I have never gotten them to hold. I have a whole package and a half left that you're welcome to if you want them.

I prefer Spray Mount or Photo Mount, or running it through a xyron machine. The only problem with this is that the vellum will tend to disappear onto the background paper. This usually doesn't matter on lighter-toned papers, but is impossible on darker tones. To get around this you can use a thicker-weight vellum, an opaque or patterned vellum, or I've also double-layered the vellum a few times.

If you want to maintain the ghosty look of the paper, a mechanical adhesion works best - such as brads, eyelets, decorative tape on top of the vellum, or as you already know, hiding the adhesive part underneath something else.

I also tend to use brads or staples for vellum, but I use the vellum glue dots as well and haven't had any problems.
