Which distress inks to get?

I have some Christmas money to spend and thought I'd get some more distress inks. I already have Tea Dye, Vintage Photo, and Weathered Wood. I think these are some good basic colors. I'd like to get some more colors, some that I can get a lot of mileage out of, if you know what I mean! And I'm not sure which ones to get? Like which red is the best-barn door or fired brick? Which green is best-Shabby Shutters or Peeled Paint? I scrap in many different syles, but I do find myself doing alot of vintage or shabby looking pages so I would definitely get more mileage out of colors that would fit more in that range of scrapping style. Any advice for me?

My favorites are rusty hinge, warm honey, and broken china....

I used frayed burlap all the time and like tumbled glass, barn door and spun sugar. Shabby Shutters should be called grass stain.

I tend to lean towards shabby scrapping myself an I have all of the colors of distress inks and they all fit in with the style....they are so versatile and go with everything...I know this doesn't help much but I am a distress ink addict!!!

I like Broken China, Tea Dye, Walnut Stain, Black Soot and Peeled Paint. I just got Dusty Concord, Pine, and Orange Marmalade, but I haven't used them yet.

I'd say go with a brown for your first ink. But beware, they are ADDICTING!!!!

I love vintage photo, black soot, brushed corduroy, broken china, and fired brick the most.

I use Walnut Stain pretty much on ever thing I do. So that's a keeper for me XD

If you are into that shabby look I'd go into colours like Aged Mahogany, Forest Moss and Victorian Velvet they seem to be the more 'distress looking' colours if that makes sense XD. I have Shabby Shutters and it seems to be a lighter version of peeled paint so if I were you I'd go for Peeled Paint as it's darker and not as bright.

I love Vintage Photo, I use it for all my aging and distressing.
Others that I like are Pumice (grey with a hint of pink), Forest Moss (a nice green, not too blue), Fired Brick (a true red), Rusty Hinge (it really does appear as rust!!! with a light undertone of almost gold.)

Vintage photo is my fave I love Brick and shabby shutter for red and green. And my fave blue is broken china.

I cannot pick! I say, go through your layouts and pick colors that match your style.

Barn Door is more of a brighter orange red, where Fired Brick is a darker blue red.

I have a ton of greens, I love Peeled Paint and Olive Vine.

If you don't have Walnut Stain, get it for sure. It is the best brown!

I would definitely start with Walnut Stain, then try to get one shade from each color set. As for the greens, I use Shabby Shutters more often then Peeled Paint. Once you get all of the colors (or at least a few shades of each color), you'll love how well they blend!

I have another vote for Walnut Stain. It is definitely my favorite go to color and gets a lot of usage... it is a very dark brown.
