Love 2 Learn
I was looking through the Gallery under "Styles" and I'm a little confused about the difference between Heritage and Vintage. I understand that some LO's can be both Vintage and Heritage. On the other hand, you can take a modern day photo, and create a LO that "looks" Vintage, as well as you can take an "Old Photo" and create a modern LO.
SB.com describes these 2 styles in the following way:
» Heritage
Layouts that incorporate family history and heirlooms.
» Vintage
Vintage is kind of like classical and retro, except different. For example, you can have a vintage wine. But you don't have "classical" or "retro" wine. Vintage often refers to throwbacks designs from the 1940s through 1960s.
When I am looking at LO's in the "Vintage" Category, I will say to myself, that should be in the "Heritage" Category, or vice versa. I absolutely love both styles....but many times...when I am looking at comments on these types of LO's, people will say something like "Wonderful Vintage LO" on something like a wedding photo from 1904 (which to me is Heritage).
Just wondering if some people use the word "Vintage" when they really mean "Heritage"? Or maybe some people, just call everything that "looks old", Vintage.
What are your thoughts, on these 2 styles? Do you believe there is a significant difference?
