I use twine and floss a lot lately... often on cards, but also on layouts. You can tie a bow or just a knot on buttons, today I made a lyout and ties a bow around a letter in my title and one on the little hole thingie at the top of a charm. I love the look... when I upload the pics from my camera, I'll try to remember to link it up here for you...
Yes, I use twine all the time...in the first LO below, I used it for the flag banner, for the balloon bouquet and to stitch all around the pages....
In the second one, I just wrapped it around some brads as an accent.....
You can use twine or string for all kinds of things. I love it! But I really love 3D stuff. I'm not as keen on flat pages.... Balls of Fun By Kiyawinn
I use floss for stitching, esp to stitch buttons to a card or page. I use twine a lot as a decorative element. It's so fun to use and adds a little pop of color.
Typically, floss is 6 strands of the same color and you can easily separate them to use as few or as many strands as you like, usually for hand sewing. Twine is also made of several strands twisted together (often white + another color), but typically you don't separate the strands.
Here, I used twine both to sew on my card and to wrap around the card front. This particular twine is pink and red twisted together.
On this layout, I added the twine to the preprinted banners on the background page...I just put down a line of glue along the top of the banner and used that to adhere the twine. I also used it as a frame for the '4' and added it for a fun addition to the flower.
On this layout, I used twine with loopy brads to make a twine border for the page. Also a little is used on the tag. I used floss on the title, but not the floss you have linked.
