Paper Collection Storage

I've had a hard time knowing how to store the different pieces of a paper collection together. I like to keep the die cuts, stickers, stamps, etc together with the paper, and it was stumping me. Found an idea on Pinterest and followed it back to the original source. I'm making these right now, and I'm loving it. Such a cheap way to keep it all together, costing less than a quarter a piece. Can't beat that!

I have to store my paper in totes because my dogs drool on everything and the cats lay on everything.

Really good idea. I think mine is too out of control to do this though.

I have 3,000-4,000 sheets of patterned paper and embellies. Oh my - that is my weakness. Cut-out die cuts and overlays.

I finally bought 5 of the 12 x 12 D-ring and all 5 are loaded to the point they are wider at the opening part than the spine. There are literally thousands of diecuts and embellies in them. I just tape the packaging to the paper sheets inside each protector.

Now when I start a new page - it if it cruise or beach I pull that book and thumb through it - or zoo or hospital or handyman. Whatever the subject I can pull the book and find the embellies and overlays.

I'm past the point of being able to keep them together in any kind of folder.

Thanks this is a good idea. I think this would also be cool to use for kits to take to a crop, will be trying this for my next one.

It multiplies when I'm not looking.

However, I don't have a lot of dies and embossing folders, only 4 Copics and no stamps or inks for them. My stash collection is all in paper and diecuts. Only 9 Cricut cartridges in 3 years - just don't have a lot of stuff except paper stuff.

I use the Sticker organizers from hobby lobby. They are normally 3 in a pk for $5.99, but I stock up when HL has them for half off. That brings the cost down to $1 each which isn't awful, but

These are open on 3 sides? So they are a file folder, rather than a 'pocket'?

No, Linda. I use Scor-tape on the sides so it makes a pocket that is fully closed in.

Lesley, I have a shelf that that sit on. When you do the scoring and folding, it makes the bottom kind of flat, and they stand perfect on my shelf.

i didn't get that part either - if you score the bottom, then you can't glue the sides can you? you'll need scoring and flaps on the side.
And since you are cutting yourself, i bet you can make the pocket a bit wider and do three-ring holes on the left then store in a binder. it's a great and versatile idea!

Um, I didn't have a problem using the scor-tape on the sides, and yeah, you can make them bigger. Mine is 14" wide simply because I cut it directly in half.

It's a brilliant idea!! Basically your making your own storage systems that will hold 12x12 and is free standing!!!! You could even put a piece of patterned paper to jazz them up a bit!!!(:

I'll post a pic when it's all done. I bought more poster board today, and I can make 2 for 30 cents.

I love to use these. Some of mine have the button closure or velcro. These were like 3 for a buck and some change I think with a coupon.

I love your idea but I'm tough on these and they are very durable.

Cindyckj, strangely I'm more interested in what you have inside your plastic organizer than in the organizer itself! Looks like some really cute goodies...Can you tell I love srappy supplies? I could look at, shop for, talk about them all day!

That was a wonderful gift from the owner of my new lss after the old lss had treated me so badly and they knew what she had done. And now the old lss is no longer. I believe it's Teresa Collins. It is a baby boy kit.
