FRUSTRATED with SILHOUETTE=HELP!

I downloaded the silhouette software update and it worked the first day but has not worked since. I keep getting an error message that says " NOT RESPONDING". Of course I have party banners and things that I should have done yesterday. Is anyone having the same problem? Why didn't they tel l us they were going to upgrade the software. This is a NIGHTMARE!!Thank for any help you can give me.

Same thing here.
I did the upgrade the other day and it worked - then today I opened it up and all I have is a blank screen.
I was just going to turn my comp off and on again and hope it helps(?).

I have been getting that message (update available) every time I turn on the Silhouette and I keep ignoring it!! I have not purchased a file in 9 months so I see no need to update... This just reinforces that decision.

They are having quite a few problems with the Version 3 release...my Yahoo group has been on fire with complaints and questions. Contact Silhouette, but I think the best solution so far (coming from the company itself) is to uninstall and reinstall the last Version 2 update which is conveniently on their website.

The machine is great - just don't get the newest version of the software yet.

Husker, they are an EXCELLENT machine,,,,,I've not had a single problem with mine and their customer service is excellent,,,,

However, like anything new, sometimes there are bugs with a new version,,,,

I generally wait a while to upgrade to make sure all the bugs are worked out before I do,,,,,

just uninstall the "newest" version that is giving you problems, and reinstall the older version,,,,,,,

if you don't know how to do that, call their customer service line, and they will walk you through it.

Don't let the software update keep you from buying the machine- they'll get the bugs worked out on the software.
This is a great machine!!
I, like posted above, just uninstalled the 3.version and went back to the older version- no biggie.

I totally agree it's a great machine and company--I too am one that waits awhile to do an update and am really happy that I am still waiting to download V3. Lots of people have had to redownload their library during the uninstall and reinstalling process...soooooo not going to deal with that because I have 14K designs in 40+ folders & subfolders...!

I had wondered about my library ! It was all still there just the way I left it! I was glad about that.

I'm not sure if it was the update or my machine just had problems but it's on it's way back to silhouette as we speak it died. I had to revert back to the old version of the software to even get anything to open on my computer now I have to try to get them to reset my DE so I can get it up.

I downloaded it and have not had any problems. Other than learning where things are. I just have a portrait and I don't have Studio.
