Which dies and embossing folders first?

If I finally convince myself to buy the eBosser, which cutting dies and embossing folders would you recommend for initial purchase? I am currently working on a huge family history/photo album so would like to get things that would work well in that regard.

I got a eBosser a few weeks ago. Because I am working on Christmas cards I got folders and dies that pertain to that. But I see several others that I want that I can use with my camping lo's. I will start getting those items after the holidays little by little. love using the eBosser.

I just got a Big Shot a month ago. I'm a little overwhelmed with all the dies and folders out there. I'm trying to buy some basic, classic shapes that I can use often: tags, circles, squares, etc. Sizzix dies are on sale here.

I think nested dies are always the best value for money. Let me see if I can link some from the Superstore. It wouldn't let me earlier, but maybe that glitch is gone...

ETA: No, not gone. I've rebooted everything my end. Let me try again.

Mikmouse, I'm glad to hear you think this would be useful for scrapping because that would be my primary goal and I didn't know if anyone else thought that was practical as so many people mostly do cards. Bonprof and RedSquirrel, thank you for your suggestions as that is exactly what I wanted to know.

I use the dies all the time for scrapping and also use background emb. folders sometimes for mats. I want to buy a set or two of alphabets/numbers for titles. I agree on the basic nesting shapes, but I also like some of the corner flourishes for quick embellishments. Add some spray, glimmer, embossing powder, etc. and have your own custom embellishments.

I really like the circles ones shown above. I use them a lot. So, I have gone and gotten some oval ones now too. So, I definitely agree that these nested types would be a good start.

Although they don't display them that way here... the oval ones are nesting as well.

I LOVE my Big Shot better than my ce2!!!
