Cloudy Sheet protectors

I bought a new box of the 12x12" layout sheet protectors and they are cloudy looking compared to my old ones... Almost a light whitish looking.

Have any of you noticed that?

What brands are you using that are not that way?

Hey Diana

I use WRMK protectors exclusively and have never had a problem. What brand did you buy?

That is the brand they are. Also the photo sleeves that were given to me at Christmas are that brand and cloudish looking also.

I would contact WRMK then honestly. I've been using them for 3 years and have never had that issue.

The only things I could think of would be heat or excessive cold, but mine are shipped from SBC to me in Canada throughout the year so it shouldn't be that.

There are glossy and matte finish page protectors . The matte finish ones will look look cloudy. The CTMH ones are like that. I am not sure what other company offer matte finish.

I thought I was going crazy 2 days ago. I thought it was my eyes (I've had sinus problems) Just looked at mine again & yep cloudy! Ugg I am not happy.

I'm really hoping you both contact WRMK. They do not (as far as I know and can find) have glossy or matte options. It seems so strange... I just looked at my brand new ones and they are fine.

I'm going to tomorrow... had granddaughter today so no time.

I'm going to try and take a photo of the cloudy ones vs. the 'old' ones.

I have experienced this too, it drives me crazy.
I like the thinner page protectors, I don't know what brand they are. They seem to be much clearer.

I agree. My problem is I don't know where I bought mine (no receipt also). I didn't notice it then. darn....

That is a pretty big difference. You cannot even see the one on the right. If you put them on black cardstock or fabric you will probably be able to tell the difference even more.

I too have purchased refills that had the same issues with them. It actually had kind of a film on it,and when you wiped the inside of the sleeve, it came off. I am in a very humid area & wondered if that was part of the issue

Hi Lynn; i've found all the plastic protectors get a film on them over time.

I am so upset! I bought 2 boxes of Project Life page protectors and every single pocket has a film on it. They look terrible and I'm not going to wipe out each individual pocket. Ugh, and I bought them months and months ago. Is this related to the plastic materials they are made of?

Don't know about scrapbook page protectors, but regular notebook page protectors at Staples come in either clear or glare-free (which may appear cloudy).

I have not done much scrapping this past year for several reasons so this got me worried about my stash of page protectors since I usually buy C-Line in boxes of 50. I raced to my scrap supplies to check them out since the box has been sitting there opened and partly used forever and a day. Nope, no problem; they look fine. I can't recall ever seeing any that were cloudy. Hope you get some action from the seller or manufacturer as this seems really strange. Good luck!
