Removing film off acetate embellishments

I am having the hardest time removing the cloudy film off of all my cute and colorful acetate pieces. I have managed to remove one so I know you're supposed to but I cannot remove any of the others. Does anyone else have this problem? Is there a trick to it? Thanks in advance.

I use a scalpel sometimes to get it in between the acetate and film.

I usually cut a small sliver off around a curved section and peel from there.

Depending on how 'stuck' they are, I have also used a piece of tape. Place it on the acetate piece with some hanging off and be sure to rub hard. Then peel the tape up and away and the acetate will come with it. It doesn't always work for me, but it usually does.
