Project Life Disappearing?

Hello everyone. I have not posted in the forums for several years and have actually not been doing scrapbooking for quite some time. I have recently decided to take a break from my Etsy business making vinyl decals to do some scrapbooking. I really like the Sn@p/Project Life way of scrapbooking but have noticed that it seems to be disappearing from Michael's and Hobby Lobby. It seems that planners have taken place of the Project Life/Sn@p format. Am I correct or am I not looking in the right places for supplies?

IDK about Snap Project but I see tons of Project Life stuff at Michaels... I go there frequently, was there 2 x this past week, lol... and online.
As far as I know, with all the advertising and now the Project Life App...which I recently fell in love w/...Project Life isn't going anywhere anytime soon!

They are phasing it out at our Hobby Lobby. Everything was on clearance Friday and there wasn't much left. I didn't look to see if they are still selling it online.

Sn@p was the Simple Stories version of Project Life. Sorry, that really wasn't clear in my post. LOL!

I looked up Snap Project Life here in the SB.com Store and it seems to still be a "thing" ! So if you need stuff I guess you can always purchase it from here!

Go for it! Just don't feel bad if you can't keep up. It's not as easy and quick as it looks and it can be a real time-suck if you want to be even the least bit creative. And you will want to be creative, because doing it "straight" gets boring after a while.

One way to make it fun is to make your own journaling and filler cards. If you're a scrapbooker, you've got plenty of raw materials to work with. Again, it'll take a bit longer, but you'll enjoy it more and have the satisfaction of using up product in your stash.

I, on the other hand, am chuckin' in the PL towel after 9 years. I'll still keep a little monthly journal with a few photos (BoBunny's Calendar girl is the basis of it) but I'm DONE stuffing pockets every week.

So I decided to go ahead and jump into Project Life for 2018 and have done a *lot* of searching online. From some Becky Higgins blog posts and the PL site itself it seems there is a big shift toward the PL app and doing PL via digital. They still stock and sell plenty of traditional kits and such, but possibly less than they used to.

The big difference seems to be a huge drop off in availability of PL items in the big box stores or PL-style items sold by other companies.

So yes, much like the rest of the scrapbooking world, it has lost some popularity. But it really doesn't seem to be going away- still plenty to buy, plenty of people posting to youtube, just not the avalanche of content and product there was at its peak.

I'm pretty pumped to start it when my stuff gets here, hopefully soon, I plan to do a weekly spread starting 1/1/2018
