SB Cookbooks??

Have any of you done recipe layouts of your favorite recipes? I have seen layout examples in magazines and a few online and I've finally started to think I might try this. I thought a scrapbook cookbook might make a nice gift for the holidays. I was thikning I'd use an 8 1/2"x11" album. ANy tips or suggestions?

My scrapping buddies and I did this for Christmas one year. Everyone bought a 8x10 album, and each person picked their favorite recipie(s) and made a page for everyone in the group (We each decorated the front and back). You could decorate it any way you wanted. Some people put cow die cuts with beef, cheese stickers, pig die cuts, etc. We had a great time and a lot of fun putting them together. I know this doesn't exactly answer your questions, but it is just another idea.

No tips or suggestions here, yet.
But a PA group that I am involved with is doing a scrapbook reciepe exchange - looks like we will be doing it every other month - In about a year I think I will have a great cookbook to add to my collection

I too was thinking of making a scrapbook of all my mom's recipes that aren't in any cookbooks. I thought I would get her to write some so that we would have samples of her handwriting and then type others. I already have some that she has sent me and on a few she makes comments about the dish. Those are priceless.
She makes special recipes for several of our family members and I thought I might take some pictures of them eating the food, her preparing it, my brother and I fighting over one of the dishes we both like, etc.
I thought I could then color copy it and give it to my siblings for Christmas.
