I received some glitter for christmas and I'm not sure what to use for glue or adhesive. What does everyone else use?

For the loose glitter, you can use liquid glue like Diamond Glaze or a ZIG Glue pen or even Terrifically Tacky Tape.

If it is glitter glue (like Stickles) you don't need anything.

I've used Glue Dots , as well as that red tape at the top

If you look in my gallery there is a lo with snowflakes on it. I used Diamond Glaze brushed on and then glittered it.

No matter what glue I use, I still have to seal my glitter to keep it from migrating all over the page. After whatever wet glue is dried with the glitter on it, I use Glossy Accents/ Diamond Glaze on top. Longer drying time.

Terrifically Tacky Tape or a glue pad (like a regular ink pad but with glue).

For thin lines with fine glitter, I like the Sakura Quickie Glue pen. It's nice for outlining things glittering drawings.

You can also use a xyron ... this is really neat with die cut shapes. Run them through upside down. Leave that protective back on the sticky side. Flip it over, run them through again.

Then peel the paper off the right side. Apply glitter while it's still on the other protective sheet -- this will keep it from getting all over your project. Then just peel the now-glittered sections off and add to your project.

I use a number of techniques. The Tacky tape(red stuff) & also their sheets. I can cut shapes with my Sizzix and then glitter them. Diamond Glaze , my xyron cheetch(gives and interesting dotted effect for glitter, and I have actually mixed it with modge podge then applied it.

I do that, too, for lines and writing.

However, for diecut shapes, letters, and chipboard I like to run them through my xyron backwards, so the adhesive is on the front. Peel it off, glitter it, and run it through again the right way and attach it to my project. Diamond Glaze over the glitter is supposed to help keep it from "migrating" to other parts of your project, but I haven't been able to find it near me to try it.

I see you're in Misery...er...Missouri I just moved from there, and instead of Diamond Glaze found Glossy Accents at the area HL and LSS. It works the same way.

Thanks, Amy! I use a lot of glitter (why I'm a Bling Princess) and could definitely use either Diamond Glaze or Glossy Accents.

Ditto this. I use Scotch 's version of Diamond Glaze to seal the glitter. I have paid the price for not sealing the sparkly stuff before and it sure gets messy!

Could you use a layer of mod podge over the top of the glitter? I used that on a candle, and it seemed to work pretty well. It doesn't really add a smooth surface on top of the glitter - is that what the Diamond Glaze does?

I use the Essential Glue Pad! I stamp something in it and glitter away!

yep, the Diamond Glaze and glossy accents puts a really shiny and pretty finish on it, really brings out the sparkles!

I have heard spray adhesive is good for glittering as well.
