Adhesive for altered tin

What kind of adhesive would work on an altered tin/lunchbox? Would Mod Podge work?

I used Heidi Swapp 's scrappy glue on tins it works really great!!!

Mod Podge works as well... Zip dry is gret for adhering embellies to it as well.

i used mod podge on my lunch box and DVD tin. NO PROBLEMS but apply in THIN coats and do several. I used it to glue down my first layer and didn't use any glue- just that. It worked really well, in fact, I could say that I love the stuff! Check out the sparkle variety too. I think there are like 10 different types! Crazy! I've heard you can tint it too with acrylic paint but haven't tried it myself.

I use either Mod Podge, or gel medium for decoupage stuff.

For the tins that I have done - I haven't needed to coat the outside of the item - so I just use sticky strip to hold the cardstock or papers on to the item. Quick & Easy - sticky strip holds everything.

Sticky strip is a double sided adhesive - very strong. It comes on a roll and you just cut what you need - and stick it to your surface - you remove the red backing and adhere. Works really good with micro beads and glitter too.

It depends on if you are covering the tin or just attaching an embellishment. To just attach an embellishment Terrifically Tacky Tape is great stuff.

I use my ATG and it has held up great. The kids play with their tins all the time.

i think that tape is actually called Terrifically Tacky Tape. I get it at M's and J's. I think they sell it here too.

Otherwise known as "industrial strength adhesive." This stuff is awesome. I'm an adhesive junkie, and I love this tape. If they started putting it into roll-on dispensers, I'd probably never use anything else.
